This is not just for pointing to a business. For example, a home based business could put their name and number on a sign and be no where around. As a home based business owner I see it as a HUGE advantage to the small business owner who can't yet commit to hundreds a month on advertising. We might just consider one for ourselves this year and let those who decide to boycott us for trying to grow punish us for the decision.

If you use Waste Industries for trash service...
its mr sarcastic to you replied to FreeBird's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have never seen them dump so I can't answer that part but I just negotiated with them on my renewal and if I lost the recycling it would be $37, but if I kept it then it would be $39 . I cancelled with them because they wouldn't go less than $41 on the phone and I received a "hate to see you go letter" in the mail saying that I could get three months free on an annual agreement so I told them for $39 I would. So I paid them for a year of service and will get 15 months of service for that rate, effectively paying about $10 a month with the recycling included. -
Fixed that fer ya!

Um, yes, bantering is a way of life.... Ask lowrider and lady raider, they both have met me and know me to be the most wonderful and amazing person in Paulding Co! ETA - Now whoever Lady Raider's snitch is, go running to tell her she is being talked about!

Wow your taxes are half of 08's amount even after the increase?! Mine went up about the same amount but it's still about 15% cheaper than it was in 08. -
What are you complaining about, I was jealous of all of those people in Disney that had those scooters about mid day!

I think they need to update their systems! Kind of a slowwwwwww moving website. -
Possibly our own forum? I have soooooo wanted my own forum cuz I am special like that!

Um, I never mentioned anything about an attitude problem, but now that it's opened up, I AGREE COMPLETELY as that is just about the only type of response I get from you. I didn't voice it before because I figured it was no use, but hey since we are getting things off our chest, why not.... And I do fully realize the implications of my statement and am willing to live with the consequences, are you?

That much posting is too much for you? Old fart....

The hijacks that everyone used to moan and groan about used to be used in those heated topics to try to defuse those things, but the bitching got so bad everyone just quit. I still have my "Hi-Jack This" shirt....

Who is the big ole tattle tale that we need to haze.... I mean, um, meet? It is a LOT more fun to talk about you behind your back...

But you see the problem is SELECTIVE action...... former member in a round about and almost completely direct way calls almost everyone a dumbass every single day but the person who actually calls her out on it is blasted, then gives former member the "Oh I am so sorry you are tormented here" speech. Same with TP. If you are going to enforce, then ENFORCE. I ignore the both of them MOST of the time but it's not easy.... But again, the past issues and people leaving are very much due to selective enforcement depending on the poster....

Rest easy, I am not "one of them". But if YOU have an issue with the signs deal with the county, but asking to boycott a small business or large business for using a resource available to them is just assinine. If you use that kind of judgment on how you would make decisions about development around here, then I think I will support the signs....

I disagree completely with LPPT, I don't think it has anything to do with tough times, I think it is a ghost town compared to the characters that used to be on here.... Pubby picks and chooses who he wants to allow to be annoying on the site and has run off a lot of the people who made this place so much fun to hang with.... I used to be VERY loyal to this site and payed to support it but after one too many jabs from Pubby I decided I would no longer do it. I left for quite a while and don't post nearly as much as I used to but to me the great days are a thing of the past. I stay because I

I agree, it is in the mind of the bearer, which is why I don't respond to your posts (or I try not to) but if you actually tried to ever see anothers perspective who disagrees with you then MAYBE people would be a little more willing to see your perspective. Doubt it will happen but if it works for you then have at it....
-
I trust you have a link for that information?
-
That is true as long as the brain exercise is a two way street but he never sees the other perspective so it just turns into a goal of how fast he can frustrate the other person.... <--- Exactly why I never respond to him anymore.
-
Good luck with that... apparently we are supposed to believe he might have a valid and coherent point one day....

Either this comment had to be dripping in sarcasm or it deserves the most idiotic post of the day award....

Granted it is not his job to create jobs, but it is his responsiblity not to claim something he didn't even remotely achieve.

Yes! And no they are not electronic.

I wonder if that was in the proposed budget for this year? It will be interesting to see what kind of revenue they generate from the little square of land. But it does start to turn the tide against all the flipping signs in every median everywhere so that is a positvie! Plus with the company leasing the land it would seem the county would have no responsibility over maintenance, hopefully.... I will watch the video presentation tonight when I get home.
