  1. Zoo, where did you get your degree in organic studies from?
  2. You should really go to one of the smaller pageants and see how they work. You will find out REALLY quick that most of the kids that win do not win on overall "beauty". I had a view of pageants very similar to yours and refused to let her participate until she finally wore us down at 9 years old. I went to that pageant (an American Girl doll natural pageant) fully intending on not letting her do another one but after being at one I realized those people are on TV for a reason, it is an EXTREME. A good portion of the pageant scores are based on their ability to show THEIR personality, exh
  3. :insertbowingsmileyhere: I iz going to bed, you are on ZC duty now.... Hope you are up to date on your shots... Sorry, couldn't resist one last one (for today)!
  4. It is really close to the old courthouse off the square. If you were coming through downtown Dallas and turned left at the light beside the old courthouse it is down a few miles on the left just after you go under the bridge.
  5. Pageants are can be abusive. Just like anything taken to extremes including sports, dance, gymnastics, excessive NPR postings (your poor kids). Fixed it for you, had to remove your ignorant generalization.... You're welcome.
  6. Any parent that doesn't let their kid stop doing pageants when they no longer want to is doing it for themselves, not the kid.... I can see making them do one that they agreed to do and you put in the expense but after that they should have the choice to stop at any time with no good reason. ETA - And any adult who makes their kid look like an adult for the sake of a pageant should be ashamed....
  7. Can't speak for toddlers but our nine year old has done two and we paid $40 for one dress and $100 for the other plus $65 to enter each. We can easily sell the dresses back on Craigslist or consign them for what we paid. It is only crazy expensive if you want it to be.... But realize that most of those people who buy a dress for $700 re sell it for a good bit of money so it's not all a loss. After we sell the two dresses I would guess we have about $150 in both pageants. But my wife is a deal finding queen so we are probably the exception! LOL
  8. Don't you have a garage sale post to go all bossy on!
  9. You just keep going to that evil Facebook you swore you never would.... It's killing your daily post count...

  12. I'm just saying if she didn't then obviously she had time to show her license... Just saying...
  13. Did it say anything about her going in the back seat of his car?
  14. You and former member need to team up and create your own website so that you don't have to rub shoulders with all us ignerent folk.... Here's to hoping the door doesn't hit you in the posterior....
  15. I suppose I should go pick mine up by now huh?
