  1. WE'RE VENTURING A BIT OFF-TOPIC HERE, BUT I NEED TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT! Yep, I stand corrected! The Sturmgewehr (Pronounced STURM-GA-VEER) was indeed an advanced design, for its time but was turned down by Hitler due to demands upon raw materials. It was only after it was designated a 'machine-pistol' that he finally agreed to its production. The photo is actually not an MP44, but instead it is a transitional version of the MP43/1 The caption,(From Wikipedia) under this exact photo reads: "A soldier demonstrates the transitional MP 43/1 variant, used to determine th
  2. ThanksPSD, I was beginning to think I was all alone...LOL
  3. They are trying hard to get the word out. I'm glad to see a closed store have new life.
  4. Wow...you have finally figured it out. It was the Crazy Christians all along. Who knew? I'm gonna check my Bible for references to 'Crazy Christians'! BTW: Your site name says a great deal about you!
  5. Now if your Muslim friends want to open a McD's near Ground Zero and serve Gyro's on a bun that would be fine...But a Mosque, at this site, I don't think so! This site, of all places, should not be subjected to controversy of this type...It's just not the proper way to honor the ones who lost their lives. Have you ever seen the Memorial of the Battleship Arizona? Have you forgotten that it was Muslims that tried to bring down the World Trade Center in 1993? Man, some of you people just don't get it! If left up to you I suppose there wouldn't be any memorials! Let's just swe
  6. Now that's funny right there.... Sure it's a 'Satire' site it's from the UK...and SNOPES was 'OUTED' during the election campaign of PBO... Where have YOU been? It is a very well documented fact that SNOPES is run by Libs...and supported by George Soros! Everybody knows that...Hell, even Robert Gibbs knows that...LOL
  7. Yeah Right...Who do you think you're kiddin'? I'm sure lots of WW II Re-enactors carry AR-15's with scopes. Now if they had those during the War of Northern Agression; Richmond, VA would be the Nations Capital today...
  8. I couldn't agree with you more... What emotion did you evoke in yourself when you decided on the pic of George Bush in a SS Uniform?
  9. 'OL Blue.... Let me see if I can make it a bit 'SIMPLER' so you can understand: 1- I really do not consider 600 feet as not being on 'The Site'--Do You REALLY believe that? 2- After EVERYTHING has been said and done...all we really have is 'Our Opinion' 3- I believe wholly in the US Constitution, I have sworn an oath to uphold it more than once...How many times have you personally sworn an oath of allegiance to this country? Please provide a couple of examples. 4- I believe there are both followers and leaders in all religions...Likewise I think the followers are in th
  10. Here is your exact quote: "They aren't building on the site they are building near it - so how far away do they have to be inorder to not offend anyone?" Like I said...600 feet away from 'ground zero' sure qualifies to be at the site in my opinion. And as to your question as to how far away they should be so as not to offend anyone? How about back in Saudi Arabia, or perhaps Bagdad...that would be just about right! I am offended when someone stops me from working in the yard and tries to hand me some religious tract...Likewise to the extreme when anyone kills innocent pe
  11. It was in one of the hundreds of diatribes you have written on the subject! We all understand that you profess to have some Muslem friends...we get that! However when my religious friends are going overboard I call them out on it...that is all we're saying here. Build your Mosque wherever you want...just not near this site...And why we're on the subject why won't the Oman reveal the source of the $110 million? What is he hiding?
  12. I will assume that the 'Weekly' reference is perhaps untrue... However 'Ol Blue's statement that the 'Proposed' Mosque isn't on the site of the Trade Center Murders is NOT ACCURATE either! That is unless you consider 600 feet to be away from a site that originally took up an entire City block! Just not gonna rely on SNOPES.COM as the final answer...and neither should you! The Internet is crawling with misleading and untrue "Facts" and so is SNOPES...But I guess for 'Liberals' it is good enough!
  13. Good old Snopes to the rescue....Not as reliable as you might think! http://www.dailysquib.co.uk/?c=124&a=1278 Here is perhaps a better site: http://www.truthorfiction.com/ Always check your sources.... The Truth: There is a proposed Moslem mosque and community center called "Cordoba House" on a site 600 feet from where the World Trade Center once stood in New York City but reports of the media's failure to cover protests from concerned citizens and relatives of victims are unfounded. There has been much media coverage over the protests of the plans for the mosque and
  14. Yep...I hear you! I have been wondering.... Since they are 'called' to prayer every day, where do they pray the other 6-days each week? I mean if, the Mosque won't hold 'em all, where do they go? Just curious...since some on here think this religion is oh so passive and we are supposed to...well, just understand that they are not that bad!
  15. McDonald's requires its franchisees to build anew whenever their restaurants approach 40 years in age. Normally, McDonald's prevails upon franchisees to remodel when their contracts are up for renewal. That occurs with 300 to 400 restaurants nationwide each year. But the company is sweetening its typical financial contribution in an effort to bring another 400 to 600 restaurants into the remodeling pipeline, citing an internal McDonald's memo that spelled out terms of assistance. The revamps could boost a restaurant's annual sales from $2.3 million to $3.1 million in four to five yea
  16. Being built by a group of Paulding county folks.... From the website HauntersDigest.com: "I love seeing new haunted attractions being built. It’s great to see creative people coming together to build something that they love doing. Over the past few months, I’ve been following the construction of a new haunt being built in Dallas, Georgia called “Folklore Haunted House” currently being built inside a vacant Fred’s retail store that is around 18,000 sq ft and are planning to open the doors to the public in September. So far, I’ve been very impressed with the quality of craftsmanship
  17. " In NYC where there are mosques with a large number of muslims that cannot fit into the mosque - These photos were taken in September 2009 at 42nd St & Madison Ave. I presume, you are aware of the dispute over building another "high rise" Mosque a few blocks from "ground zero" - With regard to that one, the "Imam" refuses to disclose where the $110 million dollars to build it is coming from and there is a lawsuit filed to force disclosure of that information - Just some facts FYI!" Not much more one can say... I think not...and this is that 'PEACEFUL' Middle Eastern religion.
  18. Yes, Murrels Inlet is South...it is more like in Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island...It is well worth the drive past all that fast food and touristy stuff in MB, Surfside and Garden City...Its all in what you go to the beach for. If crowded beaches and motesl are what you are looking for then MB is the place. If on the other hand you prefer solitude, slower pace, no Amusement Parks and just good food then I can recommend driving a little South down Highway 17. I would much prefer staying in a private residence that is occasionally rented to a motel room that turns over a few times
  19. Keep in mind that the cellphones of 2000-2001 were higher power due to fewer cell sites and operated at lower frequencies than the 3-G and now 4-G phones today. I remember the first 'portable' cell phone I owned it was a Motorola 'Bag Phone' and its output power was in the 3-5 watt range...todays phones output is in milliwatts and operate spread spectrum and TDMA at much higher frequencies...
  20. Three little words....Most of 'Em! There are some newer ones that I don't know anything about, I would avoid burger joints, mexican and Italian...its the coast go for the seafood! Here are my favorites not necessarily in order of preference: Lee's Inlet Kitchen Nance's Creekfront Ghost Ship..I hear has reopened in Garden City (Buffet style, which I don't like but excellent food) Drunken Jack's Admiral's Flagship And my favorite 'funky' divey little place with lots of atmosphere... Flo's Place Several others have closed due to the storm of a couple of years ago. Ex
