  1. The sliding part looked like fun, the stopping part, not so much. Glad you guys had fun.
  2. Just be vewy vewy quiet, in the 2nd picture it looked like it may have 6 legs.
  3. Sometimes hormones are a cruel joke played on us by Mother Nature. Sometimes I think things we don't even realize build up inside and come out in mood changing spurts. Hope you feel better soon.
  4. Our backyard, overlooking our neighbors small lake.
  5. Caught a doggie hopping up the steps.
  6. Snow - fun to see, play in and make all the jokes about but ice is no joke. With the temps staying below freezing they will have the same issues trying to get home unless the sun comes out to melt some of it.
  7. Rob has too until last night but he wanted to keep checking to see if it was still snowing. We had thought the little bit we got yesterday afternoon was going to be it so when it started snowing again he got happy feet. He learned a lesson but complained that men don't wear long dresses so they aren't used to having to pick them up when they walk. He's going to wring my neck when he sees that I posted his...um...accident.
  8. I laugh everytime I think about it. Years ago he was sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed and we were cutting up, a friend came over and when he rang the doorbell Rob jumped up to beat me to the door, well, his legs were asleep and he didn't realize it until he had lept over the coffee table and hit the floor. I just walked past him, opened the door and then busted out laughing. His legs were tingling and he couldn't get the feeling back in them for a couple minutes. The man does keep me amused.
  9. I wish I had it on tape. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
  10. That stinks. Those Satan bosses want you in even when they can't make it in. Fox 5 is reporting wrecks and a pile up on 285 at the 85 ramp, 27 cars involved. Edited : They said it looks like mostly Delta employees and no major injuries.
  11. Prayers for Shannon and your family still flowing.
  12. That's the smartest thing to do, surely companies would understand that with ice on the roads it's too dangerous to venture out in the dark.
  13. I just heard on 11 Alive that 278 in Paulding county was clear, reported by the Sheriff's office but I haven't heard any other info. yet.
  14. I found this on MedicineNet about ways to rehydrate, I hope it helps. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Water is best, but fruit -- even meat -- can help hydrate you By Jeanie Lerche Davis WebMD Weight Loss Clinic - Feature Reviewed By Kathleen Zelman, MPH, RD, LD There's no doubt about it. Water is the best way to rehydrate your body. "There's been a real water revolution in this country," says WebMD Weight Loss Clinic Kathleen Zelman, MPH, RD, LD. "Water is non-caloric, it plumps up your skin, and it hydrates your muscles.
  15. If yours is as long as his is you need to cut a couple feet off the bottom of that thing. I told him to make a cut up the front and put a rubber band around his ankles to keep from tripping again. Now he's trying to blame the whole thing on the dogs stepping on it coming up the steps and tripping him. Yep, okie dokie honey.
  16. My husband loves his Snuggie when it's this cold and was wearing (dragging it) around tonight, he get's up to go look outside to see if it is still snowing and on his way back up the steps he trips over the stupid thing because it is too long. I walked up the hall just in time to see him fall "up" the top two steps and end up in the floor with the beagles, they and I thought he was playing but he rolled over and grabbed his toe that he swore was broken as I laughed so hard I thought I'd wet my pants. The dogs thought he was playing too so as he held his toe they were licking and j
  17. We had Freshetta Brick Oven Pepperoni pizza, it was good. Now I'm eating pecan fudge. It's good too.
  18. Phase 10 - card game, it's a lot of fun but we play where everyone get's whatever when they get it and not run 1 then 2 then 3 etc. When you play by "their rules" someone always get's slammed because everyone knows what run you are trying for and you don't stand a chance. Yahtze - we play two games at once so you have more chances in case you get on a straight or 4 of a kind roll, you have more opportunity to get what you need playing two games at once. Then add both games together for your total to see who wins. We always change the rules.
  19. I honestly can't tell you the answer to that unless they had some sort of catch and drain system maybe in how the rocks were stacked. No clue but it is a good question. I didn't work with masonry fireplaces but the prefab ones with pipe in the chase, pans, caps and shrouds. Yep, Santa's job got a whole lot harder when they started putting pipe in the chases.
  20. I'm sorry, I don't know unless the supporting metal has weakened, since you mentioned it's an older house. Try calling Builder Specialty, they are in Kennesaw and quite a few of them used to work for R.C.S so they have some long time fireplace guys there that will know if and how it can be repaired. Builder Specialty - 770-426-0808 this is the Marietta showroom, the number listed for the Kennesaw branch in my online yellow pages is wrong. The showroom can give you the direct # to Kennesaw. I think it is 770-255-1400 but not positive, this may be their Norcross #. Hope this helps.
  21. I worked with fireplaces for years, don't know if I can help but if you will tell me the problem with the damper I'll try.
  22. The collards cooked all night in the crock pot and the black eyed peas were done this afternoon. We are two full and mizzable people over here, thanks for the meds LR.
  23. Sorry it took me so long to answer. Yes it's in yogurt but the capsule is much faster.
