Commission talks about changing rules of participation
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
George Patton 'Pat' Hughes Just some more of your trivia....... This does not explain why you lied and continue to lie to your constituents. Come on and man up. OH BTW I do recall that you supported the secret meetings that THE PCAA and The IBA had, Is this part of your platform?? You remind me of Bill Heath tactics when you were supporting Bill Corrupt last election- 42 replies

Commission talks about changing rules of participation
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
George Patton "Pat' Hughes You plainly stated " That means that the Georgia General Assembly will decide what to do with its assets. No reasonable person would even consider going that route." That statement sir is a LIE and you know it. Be honest in your discussions. Deal in the facts , not some far fetched off the wall BS that has no basis of truthfulness whatsoever.- 42 replies

Commission talks about changing rules of participation
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Unlike you George Patton "Pat" Hughes I do try to deal in the truth and only in facts. If you will read the Constitutional Amendment that created the IBA in 1962 you will find that the general assembly covered that issue in the original bill. Fact is it is spelled out that all the assets will become the property of the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS you need to stick with the facts when you campaign, The worst thing a politician can do is get caught in a lie while campaigning, before he ever takes office. The IBA and the PCAA are out of control and need to be reigned in. Of course you are so hell- 42 replies

Here again Pubby you have written many many words and said nothing. I am really surprised that you did not at least scold the AA for not complying with the open meetings law but.... Knowing where you have been coming from since the airport deal first broke I am not surprised. At least the citizens may have two chances of defeating you this election I surely hope it is done on the first ballot. I could never vote for a person that has such a loose interpretation of the open meetings law. Oh well good luck I am going out and campaign for Patti Smith at least she knows what the issues are and ca

Wow sir you are dead wrong in this post. The IBA proposal was read and voted on in the IBA, PCAA, and the BOC meetings. It got derailed in the BOC meeting because it was revealed AT THE MEETING that another proposal had already been forwarded to Howard Maxwell by the law firm representing the County.. Using your argument it was okay to secretly have the Law firm okay the proposed changes and forward the proposed changes to Howard Maxwell. without a vote or discussion from the commissioners. Fact is the Open record request still has not been satisfied since the other information requested has

You have to deal with ethical folks in order for any scenario to work, The peoples work has to be done in the open and let the sun shine through. Just like the Modification of the constitutional amendment that created the IBA, It was done in secrecy with only a lawyer, Howard Maxwell and another unnamed person responsible for the proposed change..... Were others involved.... You betcha but the secrecy that surrounds the BOC IBA and the PCAA prevents any other people from being involved...... For the most part you have been very supportive of the IBA and the PCAA Hell face facts neither wanted

Pubby You were at the court hearing in December when this issue first arose, As a journalist you should of been all over this story then, Not wait until someone else filed a law suit forcing the issue. Is my memory failing me..... Or do I recall correctly that you were okay with the manner the off site was conducted, And the secrecy in which it was carried out. I know you were aware of it and committed about it?

Pubby You did a good job, And unlike some politician's you stayed with your platform of commercialization of the airport even though it is a very unpopular decision in POST # 2 -

I have no idea who has been invited to attend, I am just a concerned citizen who is going to attend. I do not think that any commissioner that knew about the deal with Silver Comet Partners and kept it from the citizens was being very transparent, All of the present commissioners except Todd Pownall knew about the deal before it was announced in October 2013. I guess you could say transparency depends on how you look at the issue, In my personal opinion keeping this from the citizens eleven months after the contracts are signed is not acting in a honest and transparent manner..... These

I am scared to death of what 278 is going to look like.... I can give you a pretty good idea all you have to do is take a little drive South on 278 until it turns into Camp Creek Parkway, That is the commercial area that you and Pubby are so proud of...... You see we have to have a place to park those cars for the proposed million passengers per year, we also will need all the fast food restaurants and the gas stations along with A liquor/Package store and maybe a modest Hotel/Motel chain. of course we may even get a night club or two for our visitors. After all we are trying to emulate the Ci

I see why you are running now... You want to host a forum on your site to increase the readership on this site to put some big bucks in your pockets..... Got cha. OMG you think you are running against Tundra and Myself...Your opposition is Todd Pownall, Patti Smith, And mike Pope that is who you need to concentrate on

What I am looking for is that all elected officials and those appointed by the elected officials be open honest and transparent. I expect them to have a platform and run on that platform, and stay with that platform after they are elected. The airport is going to be the central issue in this election, And just so you know a 1,000,000 passengers per year is a little more than a "handful of commercial flights" as you imply. A million more people going up and down Highway 278 is a lot of folks to throw into a area that is already one of the most congested areas of the county. I hope that

No discussion about the BOC creating a citizen oversight committee

You may not consider this a promise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU-j3rNVpig But you filmed this meeting and played it on P.com.... Another thing that I caught after reviewing it again was the comments that was made as to the OPENESS that was made by the Chairman of the Airport Authority...... At some point open honest and transparent statements have to be taken as face value...... A promise is a promise..... Do know this was at the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE meeting RIGHT!!!!! Not on the so called barn that you implied to. I am glad that you are campaigning that this was not a promis -

Pubby I am not angry. I enjoy holding politicians accountable for there actions.... The issue in this Post commissioners race is the commercial passenger service that was secretly passed by Commissioners Austin, Graham,, Carmichael,, And Barnett. You can blabber about all the other things all you like, but the central issue is the airport and the way the airport is going to be used, And the method that the airport was/is being expanded for commercial passenger service. True their is a certain amount of disagreement directed towards commissioner Austin, Carmichael, Graham, and Barnett i -
Ok were close to the election, who is voting for who and why?

I think the real reason is Tony Crowe does not want to feel obligated to the big spenders, He represents the little man who does not have but one voice ( TODD POWNALL) on the present commission. -

They would never put the Airport passenger service on the ballot.... they do not have the gonads to do so. -

I do not have any Delta $$$$$, but do know that if you want to find out who is getting money from the big spenders checkout the Campaign reports about a week prior to the election, I am going to try and have some available to review here on p.com during that time frame. Do know that the last time Barnett and Crowe ran that Barnett collected about ten times or more the dollars that Crowe collected., And David Austin collected around twenty times as much. When you have a door to door campaign like Crowe has then you don't need a ton of money, He gets out and meets the people. Them signs -

I always thought a smart politician would stick to campaigning in his own race ..... But I see some want to cover the entire County. I really find it silly on your part to stick your nose into some ones else's race. After all you will have to beat three other people to take the seat away from Todd Pownall. Patti Smith is running a much better campaign than you are. -

So... You are now campaigning against Tony Crowe... It would appear to me that you would have a plate full of competition yourself since you have three other persons vying for the post that you are running for but what do I know.... It would appear that you would be trying to get your votes out but............. Oh I know you are depending on David Austin to get a lot of Republicans to vote in the Democratic primary for you..... Well you are fixing to find out how politics really work... You have really praised the things that the four musketeers have been doing since October of last year le
