I would really like to see all businesses that support the commercial Passenger service to make a list of those business and post it on the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce web site, Along with what county they live in. I have a major problem listening to a speaker in today's commissioner's meeting knowing when he leaves there he is going back to his county where they do not have commercial passenger service. You do know that over 75% of the Board of Directors of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce do not even live in Paulding County? Are you okay with that?

What really gets my blood boiling is the reality of who is involved Commission Chairman David Austin, Mayor of Dallas Boykin Austin, Mayor of Hiram Doris Devey, Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Carolyn Wright with the balance of the members either being hired or appointed By David Austin and the Board of Commissioners. Reminds me of the spokesman from the Chamber this morning blabbing about what the airport was going to bring to the County.. He forgot to mention that himself and 75% of the Board of Directors do not live in the County yet they think the airport is the greatest thing since sliced bread for Paulding county. If it is so great then why are they not trying to get passenger service into their airport in Cobb, Douglas and Polk County?? I also lived in Atlanta in the 50's 60's in fact I worked in Atlanta from 1956 to 1992, I know what I am Talking about, I owned my first home in Atlanta. My comparison is what happens when commercial passenger service is introduced into an area and you know that. Going to be hard for you to debate this with me I lived through the expansion of the Atlanta airport from almost the onset. I was raised about nine miles from the Old Candler field ( now Hartsfield Jackson) later moved to Riverdale in the 70's then to Paulding County.. White flight had nothing to do with it.
