I have always advocated to have it on the ballot prior to the last Primary election in May 2014 and settle the issue one way or the other, again in November 2014. I still feel that a issue this divisive should be brought to a referendum like it was two previous times, Polling clearly show that better than 70% of the citizens do not want a commercial passenger service airport. Lets vote county wide special election or next general election ever how you want it.

Yea Pubby I was in the line the last meeting and was undressing for the pat down and they waved mayor Austin around the left side without being searched. Heck half the folks in that meeting come through the back door and are never searched, maybe you could get with David and get a free pass ??

All of the deputies and Marshals that I have had contact with are a 0ne top of the line men and women as well as the sheriff. I see no bad local law enforcement officers.

I believe all commissioners should be informed of what is going on within their post, how much time does it take to send them a e-mail ?? It is past time for the county administrator to stop all the secret meetings and keep the commissioners informed of what is going on in the county. Secret covert meetings is no way to run a county, the citizens deserve better.

Seems to me that Mike Jones shares some of the responsibility to notify all the commissioners since he is the County Manager, Dang what is he getting paid to do??

The County had no choice it was suppose to do the environmental assessment prior to applying for the 139 certification they did not and a claim was filed on federal court in Washington to make them do the EA, The work on the runway was halted and continues to be halted until this assessments are concluded. The FAA had to get involved to reign in the Austin Boys and the PCAA. Of course you knew this you just wanted to muddy the waters. Bottom line the county was trying to sneak around the law and got caught red handed by some concerned citizens

Are you okay with the millions that the County has spent and proposed to spend over the past several years on the Airport ? please disregard the legal fees. I am sure you will recall that the airport was not going to cost us one red cent... Right?? Have you by any chance read the Inter governmental agreement that the lame duck commission passed in November/December of this year supposedly guaranteeing enough money to run the airport for several years including six figure salaries and Cadillac insurance benefits, along with a lucrative pension plan. Heck I know two folks that own planes ..... one serves on the Paulding County Airport Authority and the other served on the Paulding County airport Authority steering committee , and neither keep their planes at Silver Comet field.. WTH is wrong with that picture????

El Zorro All this group wanted since October of 2013 was a Town Hall meeting and a vote on the issue, Our leaders chose not to allow another vote on the airport......... So we took matters into our own hands and campaigned for those who were opposed to the commercialization of the airport....... Guess what.... we won..... elections have consequences 1-1-2015 is near change is coming, Of course you had no vote on this issue.... only registered voters of Paulding County could vote in this election and they spoke loud and clear and defeated all four pro airport candidates CHANGE IS COMING!!!!

You either have a neighborhood like Cartersville and their General Aviation airport with low crime less congestion, less noise, etc. ................... O you can have a neighborhood like College Park, Hapeville, and Riverdale with all the crime, murders, rape, congestion, noise, corruption etc. that comes with a commercial airport like Hartsfield Jackson airport. For those who may have missed it a while back Pubby announced that the P.com office was also the headquarters of the Paulding County Democratic party. It is not uncommon for the state party Republican or Democrat to provide the local headquarters with voter registration list that indicate what party they voted for in the primary elections and data bases are also provided by the State parties..
