  1. Ok. I picked up on something different. You didn't invite her and as far as you know no one else did either. She just got in your car. Did you verify her parents knew she was leaving? If someone drove off with my kid and I didn't know where she was or who she was with it might have gotten ugly real fast. Now, back to the original program. Oops. I went back and read what was posted while I was typing. Questions answered.
  2. I'd like to offer some constructive criticism. You seem to be very passionate about your topics. That's good. If you want more discussion regarding your topics you need to keep it short. Many of us are reading PCom from our phones. Our eyes can't take it. Give us a paragraph instead of a novel and you'll see your acceptance level soar.
  3. When I was younger, single, and living it up people woul ask me when I was going to get married. I told them "When fire breathing monkeys come flying out of my ass!" How about those? By the way, I've been marries for 19 years and I've only dreamed about fire breathing, flying monkeys.
  4. You asked where her dad was... He died last year.
  5. I agree. This news in no way makes our lives any better, worse, or more interesting.
  6. Just about any meat and many vegetables can be cooked on the grill.
  7. Yep. I highly recommend it. Also try their Ohh La La. My all time favorite Henry's comfort food is his grilled pork chops with homemade Worcestershire. Yummmmm. Be warned. You won't be able to eat all of your shrimp and grits. He gives a beyond healthy portion.
  8. If you look beyond the health argument and consider quality... I like specialty shops. When you go to an actual florist you can get high end flowers. A butcher will provide you a better cut of meat. Local produce stands can provide more nutritions (less contaminated) vegetables. If a pharmacy would focus only on health items, maybe they would do a better job. They're not telling their customers not to smoke. They're just saying that customers should buy their tobacco elsewhere. I'm sure you could get a better quality cigar/cigarette at a local smoke shop.
  9. I guess I'm in the minority. For me, it was a non-issue. With everything going on last week, garbage pick up was the last thing that was on my mind.
  10. Yes, politicians realized you don't have to be married to have children.
  11. When you apply for your driver's permit you have to provide an attendance certificate stating that you do not have 5 or more enexcused absences. Isn't it true that if you already have your license and you amass 5 unexcused absences your license can be revoked? Also, isn't it true that you aren't allowed to participate in high school sports/band/etc. if you have 5 or more unexcused absences?
  12. I don't mind the bigger tv. I can finally read the ticker.
  13. Yes, but we live in a time when there are more people have camera phones than sense. If one of us popped a squat outside it would be posted on youtube before we finished.
  14. I will be taking 41. I read reports that they were salting/sanding 41 from Cartersville to the Cobb line. I figure it may be a little safer.
  15. Yes!!! I'm going to work tomorrow. I'm just not sure what time I'll leave. It's not supposed to get above freezing until noonish. I'm mostly worried about people walking to retrieve their cars.
  16. Trucks aren't getting up the hills on Cedarcrest. PSA. If you are driving, leave plenty of room between yourself and the car in front of you.
  17. TBird Go home!!! Roads are slick as a cat's a$$!!
  18. Glad you caught it early. My youngest just got a new Avenger. I'm headed out to the garage to check on hers.
  19. Well, now my black parking lot is white. I can finally see actual snowflakes instead of a thick fog. I am off Joe Frank Harris Parkway (Hwy. 41), and just a stone's throw north of Tennessee Street.
  20. I'm at work in Cartersville. My black parking lot now looks light gray. I know it's snow but it is so thin that it just looks like fog.
  21. Here's 2 more for you. I read these on my way to work each morning... 1. 4 meals for $4 To me, that reads that I can buy 4 meals for a total of $4. 2. Check out our .99 cent menu. Read correctly, that says I can buy items for less than a penny. I know what they really are meant to say but it just seems like a little bit of accuracy would be valued instead of distorted.
