  1. Some progressives in the party say they don’t like Kaine’s past support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and NAFTA trade deals, which could hurt Clinton in the Rust Belt where Donald Trump has made inroads by opposing those deals. (Kaine’s personal opposition to aboortzion as a Catholic also alienates some progressives.) Those progressives hoped Clinton would pick a more liberal running mate, one who rails against Wall Street and wealth inequality, to rally Sanders’ supporters to her side for the general election. He's also Catholic and Pro-Life
  2. The Judean was there back in the 60's. They lived in the house behind the screen. And we used to go down the road to eat at Vaughn's.
  3. We're already on the Plantation with the Democrats in power.
  4. I also heard on the news that the intended target was the autistic young man with the toy truck. This was just wrong on so many levels.
  5. Oh Lawd, just wait until in the morning. I watched Trumps speech and thought it was great, but the liberals already have him painted as dark and scary. LOL Just because he spoke the truth about the state of the Nation. They said he came off as a Nationalist.
  6. When I was a kid my mom would pop enough popcorn to fill a grocery bag IE: a BIG brown paper bag. Then she would pack some cokes on ice. I loved the drive in especially at intermission. We got to play on the playground and get some kind of treat at the concession stand. I've gone to them since the fifties. What was great while you were dating you could make out in the car! And smoke cigarettes LOL
  7. I saw Bonnie and Clyde, Barbarella, 3 Stooges Go To The Moon (something like that) at the Judean. Saw several movies at the Marlboro drive in. I remember the one on Bankhead Highway way back in the sixties.
  8. None here. Lots of thundering, lightening and wind, but no rain. Same thing every day.
  9. I saw it on the news and it's all over FB. It could have been handled so much differently.
  10. Thank you! I'm outta likes, I'm always outta likes.
  11. I know. I haven't seen one pretty woman democrat. It's like they are all so angry
  12. Whatever she is, DR is very pretty, very fit, has a beautiful family and a husband in uniform! A handsome man in uniform! LOL I love a man in a uniform. LOL
  13. She did, but it got edited. And once it was edited, somebody set her up. There should have been several people to proof read the speech.
  14. I feel bad for Melania. I enjoyed her speech, but she got set up. I'm disappointed that Trump's camp denied the speech was plagiarized, because it so obviously was. I think it would have been better to admit someone messed up and apologize. And I know Michelle plagiarized hers from a dead man but that's in the past.
  15. I saw it last night and it was beautiful. The moniker Full Buck Moon symbolizes the time of the year when male deer, known as bucks, start to grow their new antlers. While this nickname is most commonly used, it is only one of the many lunar names for this month's full moon. [The Full Moon: Why It Happens | Video] July's full moon has also been called the Full Thunder Moon and the Full Hay Moon, as July is considered to be the season with the most frequent thunderstorms and the time of year when farmers harvest, bale and stow hay for the upcoming winter.
  16. That's what I said in post #3. Apparently the guy is a psycho, but he's white and my grandson is black and only 20 years old. And yes, it does make a difference.
  17. Melania is not the first potential First Lady being born on foreign soil. Teresa Hines was born in Africa, what is now Mozambique to Portugese parents. She speaks several languages and is very well educated. As far as Melania's speech, I enjoyed listening to her talk but someone needs to be fired. She wrote her speech, it was the critiqued and edited. Anyone making their living in politics should have recognized the nearly verbatim wording and should have caught it. It's caused her embarrassment that she doesn't deserve. A plant? Sounds possible.
  18. And I'm going to believe a disgruntled writer? But it's all politics. Wonder who paid him to do the morning show circuit?
  19. Again, did I say Hatfield and McCoys? Hell you couldn't even read my first post correctly. I said this took place on a PUBLIC road and you come back in your post #9 thinking he was revving up and down in our subdivision. I'm not going to argue with you about this. I know what I'm doing, but hey thanks for the input, as erroneous as it was.
