What the hell is wrong with people these days?? From CNN: Shooting at Navy Yard, several killed, up to 10 wounded Posted: Sep 16, 2013 8:41 AM EDT Updated: Sep 16, 2013 10:29 AM EDT By Associated Press A Defense Department official says several people have been killed and as many as 10 have been wounded in a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard. The official spoke on condition of anonymity Monday because the official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly. The official also says the shooter is "contained" but not yet in custody.

Don't know about her phone, but her email is working today. I reported it yesterday. Don't know if that helped or not, but at least it's working. And it was someone at the Board that said it was "an IT problem".

I'm taking about abuse. Real verbal, mental and physical abuse. Been there, done that. Got over it and able to forgive only by the grace of God.

You know, I have too and I'm normally not an angry person I thought I was going to stroke out Tuesday It'll pass, but it does help getting it out. That's what I did, and it didn't matter who was the brunt of it at the time.

This man has been doing this for years and he got caught. I really don't expect any changes. It's really no different than any other town government or our federal government. They do it until they get caught. Look at how corrupt Fulton and Dekalb counties are. And the water department. And our own government in Washington. I've said it before, common middle class folks or folks who care are too busy trying to make a living without the time to follow up on government issues. Until we the people get involved nothing is going to change.

There are a lot of cruel mean people in this world. I look at my 4 YO grandson all the time and think about other children. He is well cared for, happy and healthy. He has no idea of the cruelty out there. Some parents are mean, some are lazy and just don't care. And with drug abuse rampant, so is child abuse. When I hear of a child dying at the hands of an abuser it makes me sick and I wonder why our system can't just kill the abuser. Ahhhhhhh, don't get me started. Mental abuse is almost as bad. Regardless of what some folks say on here, you do what you feel is necessary. I don't trust the system, the board or the administrators. Keep up with everything. School just isn't what it used to be. And I know there are a lot if hard working, sincere folks in the system so no offense to you. But there is way too much politics in the education of our children.

And I still pay $685 in school taxes a year, for what? I know people make mistakes but somehow I expect more from the school system. We're 5 weeks into the school year and my grandsons counselor still doesn't have her email set up nor her voice mail. Her calls go to another person. I called the school office, then I called the board and basically got the usual run around and was told their "IT people haven't gotten to it yet". 5 weeks.

I read that at about 1:00 yesterday. Could you imagine trying to find a place to stay within 50 miles if you didn't have reservations?!! Herman is talking about the bikers now.
