Whether you use a company through a recommendation or find one on your own, MAKE SURE they're licensed by the Motor Carrier Compliance Division of the Georgia Department of Public Safety. If they aren't licensed by the state and you experience a problem after the fact there's really nothing more to do than sue them. At the very least, any issue you have that's filed with MCCD against a legal company will result in a warning or citation with a potential of fines and/or assisting you with recovery of any loss. You can also see if any complaints have been filed on any licensed company although

We love going to Cherokee. I haven't been to Flaming Arrow since Happy Holiday is just down the road from the Casino and Tribal Bingo we've always stayed there for convenience. The rafting trips along the Nantahala are really great. The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad in Bryson City gives you two great options. You can either depart Bryson City and ride west along the Nantahala or east to Dillsboro. We've done both trips and they're excellent. This weekend we'll be at Chattahoochee Bend State Park between Carrollton and Newnan. At the end of July we'll be taking a two week trip to

David Barton "Bart" Shellhorse
N0206B replied to Clark Funeral Home's topic in May they rest in Peace
I was so shocked to hear of Bart's passing yesterday. He had such a lively personality and I enjoyed working with him in my first years of working with the county. He made night shift so much more enjoyable when things got slow and I'd begin to get bored. -
I'd recommend checking the Georgia Motor Carrier Compliance website at http://www.gamccd.net/LPCMain.aspx You can sort licensed limousine companies by City or Company name to help you with your search. All buses and limousines are regulated by the state so if the company isn't listed on that website then they're operating illegally and if they don't live up to your expectations or take your deposit and run you have no recourse. I owned a limousine company in Dallas for several years and always felt terrible getting those prom season last minute calls on Friday and Saturday from a parent

Do you live in a subdivision or are you on your own lot and not part of a development? I live on Winndale Rd which always has a great deal of traffic and anytime that I have something I want to get rid of (usually stuff that doesn't work but would bring a couple dollars in scrap) I put it at the end of my driveway with a FREE sign on it. I've never had anything sit there longer than an hour and although I've gotten rid of some useful things but mostly most of it has been junk that needs to go to the landfill. It appears that regardless of what the item is, someone is always willing to turn -
The new furniture looks really nice. Did it make you want to sleep on the couch in the livingroom last night just to see if it was "nap worthy" for some lazy afternoon lounging?

I know what you mean, it was very abrupt. In fact I thought maybe they were just out of town or had started parking in the garage then realized the tell, tell sign (literally the foreclosure notice) was taped to the front window. There's all kind of banging going on right now but with the line of trees between us I can't make out what's happening.

You should post a before (empty room) and after (new stuff) pictures. By the way, there's a big truck doing something over here at the foreclosed house between you and I. Might be about to renovate it so hopefully it'll be occupied soon with some good people.

Glad to know you like it and to learn they do indeed deliver this far! When it gets warm enough we'll have to order delivery and have a pool party for the neighborhood. We took the RV to Cherokee NC this weekend and pizza from Johns one night this week would be awesome since we overate everything except pizza at the Chefs on Stage buffet at Harrah's.

After owning Ultra Limousine in Dallas for several years I always want to help make sure that parents plan for a safe and legally operating company to make sure their kids are taken care of on what should be a fun, trouble-free night. Each year I struggled to keep up with calls on Friday and Saturday nights from parents begging for a limousine at the last minute because the company they rented from didn't show up or had some excuse of a breakdown. Sometimes I could help but often I was already booked but did my best to call around and try to help them find a vehicle from another comp

A and C Limousine in Cartersville and Empress Elite Limousine in Kennesaw For a vehicle that size you'll be looking at around $125/hour. When you're shopping around, check with the Georgia Department of Public Safety to make sure the company you choose has all of the proper permits to operate. Illegal companies may give you a lower price but if/when they don't show up, you're left without transportation and you'll probably have no way of recovering your deposit. State officers are also doing random permit and paperwork checks at prom venues and when they encounter a limousine without

I'm going to go stay with Honey Boo Boo and her family. They're stocked up on everything thanks to Mamas extreme couponing.

They were probably at the Good Sam RV rally in Daytona! Glad the cat made it home, I suppose it's the only thing that knows the full story of how it happened.

"Picking up a friend at the Brussels train station", I wonder if her friend ever got picked up? The story doesn't say but it definitely gives new meaning to "Are we there yet?" -

The salad was great last night. It was the first time I had one so I got a small before the pizza came out and it seemed really fresh. It hit the spot while waiting on the 16". I agree with you on the size of the 20", I saw someone carry one out and wondered if it would fit through the door. -

I hope you like it. I've been there around 5 or 6 times in the past couple of months and they're usually pretty dead. Last night just a couple of carry outs and one drive through while I had dinner. I hope they last because their food is great, location probably hurts them and if they work out the logistics inside the place I'm hoping they survive. They deliver and allegedly they'll come all the way to my place on Winndale Rd in Dallas. Seems a bit far for them to take a $15 order but I'm sure on one of these colder nights I'll test it to see if they do indeed deliver this far. -

I thought the post was going to be something about The "R" in front of the "O" of "Roberts Elementary". Funny how we all interpret the context of the post based on the title and how often the post is something completely different that we thought. -
I've been to John's Biscuit and Pizza a few times since their opening a few months ago and gotta say I'm pretty impressed by the food. I had enough left over last night to have some for lunch today. The prices are right, quality is excellent but they do need to refine their process some. With only one person working the front counter, dining area, drive through window and telephone orders, they tend to get overwhelmed from time to time. From what I understand the place is owned by the same guy that owns Lucky's convenience store in Dallas so diving into a new restaurant may take them some t

Yes but those that are half price (with the flip down screen) only last a couple of weeks. I had that model and within a couple of weeks the screen quite working. The company sent a replacement and after a few more weeks that would either wouldn't come on at all or intermittently failed to record or powered off and on. Also their "HD" claim just isn't true. The video quality was the same on that style as the one I have now. The two $70-80 units I have referenced are in use now. I have one and a co worker has the other and both work exceptionally well.

It won't help you for your accident but I've added a dash cam DVR to my vehicle. It records to a micro SD card and I can play it or save it to my computer or flashdrive. A very useful tool and "silent witness" that cost me less than $80 online. It has a lot of great features and I've very impressed by the operations and reliability of it. Here's the one I have: http://amzn.com/B007PNZBRM And here's a very similar one: http://amzn.com/B0083QOA3Q

The temperatures are going back into the high 50's but it's going to be rainy for the next few days so let me know if you need some help getting a jump start on moving Christmas items to the house before the wet weather arrives. -
