It's no surprise that educators that preside over a failing school would be against this. The only schools that this would effect are failing schools. Why should we allow a failing school to have the say so about anything ? Kids are graduating from High School that can't read, can barely write or do basic math. 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' if it is don't ignore it year after year after year and pretend that nothings wrong. It's not fair to the students.
