I'll never forget when I was a kid our septic tank suddenly backed up. Raw sewage rose from the pipes and filled the walk in shower, the toilets threatened to overflow but never did,after having the front yard dug up and pumping out the system it took a lot of bleach and cleaning by my poor Mother to get the place back to normal.
