I need clarification on the Republican stance on an issue
tundra replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Your last paragraph is an unnecessary and undeserved excuse for many corporations that have seen profits soar in the past few years yet they always seem to have someone else to blame for all those jobs they aren't creating. Save that for someone who doesn't read the business section of the newspaper or doesn't recognize the difference between reasons and political talking points. My point was that it has been this way for almost two decades, under administrations of both parties. It hasn't changed and isn't likely to change, at least not for any of the reasons (excuses) you've cited. -
My heart is breaking for you, cross that bridge Snickers............we'll all be there to see you one day.

I think there was some info on this here, sorry...........next time we'll make a special thread. I have a feeling we'll have more of these. It was really great for all but one to attend. There is a full video on here somewhere. Would you like the link?

Thank you Whitey, but there was one candidate missing, Mike Pope. Thursday is his day to care for his aging mother, he sent his regrets for not being able to attend but requested we give his phone number 770-445-6580 so anyone can call him to discuss his campaign. He is running as an Independent in Post 2.

It was a good night, I was impressed with all the candidates. Due to some last minute changes, by request from citizens, we decided to let everyone at least introduce themselves. They handled it well, I think they are going to have many "last minute" opportunities to comment in the next few months. Don't know if this has ever been done before, but I believe everyone that was there enjoyed it. It helps to know who is who. We were also graced by the attendance of Howard Maxwell, Incumbent House District 17 and his challenger David Bond. Excited they were interested enough in their com

You even know how to spell it. LOL But shouldn't that last word in your first sentence be "drawt"?
-
I think my favorite is mominem, I can't even spell it. LOL How's mominem doing? Meaning momma and them.
-
Yea, that's sort of an ad, isn't it? LOL Like you said when all goes well with Allegiant, it's fine but DO NOT have a problem or make a reservation at your destination. PS I noticed your nice colors.

Yes, those old conservative Democrats that dotted the landscape here in Paulding County profited nicely from selling all that land, then they profited again when they built all those houses. That wasn't enough, they have their "safety zones" around their homes and don't give much care to those that aren't in their "circle". Most of those conservative Democrats moved over to the Republican party so they could get elected. No they aren't liberal as they are in DC but none the less, it's about what's best for them. Always has been, always will be. I moved here in '83, never found a m

I hope everyone understands you will not be able to get a flight out of Paulding Airport to go visit grandma in Memphis. Flights will be limited to tourist destinations, you won't be able to fly to your nephew's graduation unless he lives near Disney, Vegas, Biloxi or Apsen. According to the "talkers", flights will be to tourist destinations "to start". Oh and you better wait to make those hotel reservations, Allegiant is noted for "delaying" flights. Technically they can't cancel a flight unless it's for a mechanical issue but they can "reschedule" for a later date. Go to their Face

So much for the conspiracy theory about anti-airport supporters. It changes itself at night. I also drive past it every day, sometimes 4 times a day and night. Yes, it's the thin white covering. Dang I would have loved to see RM parked out there trying to catch someone. LMBO!!

Code Red messages about the new hospital ER

Seriously, not everyone is on the internet or has texting. If you needed to go to the emergency room, taking those extra minutes could cost someone their life. I applaud them for using every means possible to get the word out in what ever way they could. A little inconvenience for you could be the difference between life and death for someone else. -
Yes, they do. Red Maples have red blooms/seed pods. So to be specific those are Red Maples. The other Maples that fruit in spring are Silver Maples. Sugar Maples are fall producing.

Wow, just wow! Hmm, wonder where this information came from. Closed session discussions, huh?

Sorry as hard as some keep trying, the ProtectPaulding coalition is probably not being funded by Delta. http://www.myajc.com/news/business/delta-big-guns-fight-paulding-airport-plans/ncp52/

I'm mad they took the prize out of Cracker Jacks. lol Used to drive right by the big plant in Chicago on my way to work. It's always smelled good. Changed jobs then I had to work inhaling the smell of Leaf Confectioneries all day.
-
So the Delta connection is falling apart, let's find someone else to blame this on. Now the Stoneridge Group is the big bad wolf? lol That's pretty funny, all you need to do is look right here in Paulding County and see where the real issue is.

Oh and that MIT study the Chairman of the PCAA referenced as his change of mind to make this a commercial airport actually says small and mid sized airports have taken a HUGE hit and have lost revenue and jobs, not profited from it. http://www.governing.com/news/local/gov-air-service-steep-decline-small-city-airports.html

Just so you know, Charlie Watts is an honorable man. As was Nathan Dean (may he RIP) Charlie did get involved in the Hwy 92 project, it was important to him. There is absolutely no need to bring him into this airport debacle. Oh and in case you didn't know, he delivered the eulogy at my brother in law's funeral. The article you're referencing is old news. Since then people have been able to see what this is really about, it's about the BOC and the PCAA stomping all over the citizens. It's not about big bad Delta anymore.

Jeeze the conspiracy theories abound. Conservatism is the enemy of government, yes, why yes they are. Now tell me again who is really unable to compromise.

No discussion about the BOC creating a citizen oversight committee

Capitalism is dead if you don't have anyone to buy the cow. When all the potential buyers are ridiculed and treated with little respect, they'll go buy their cows elsewhere. I don't plan on shooting anyone, I'm pretty sure I'm the one being shot at here. -
QT probably has a generator. I heard power was out in Taylorsville and Cedartown, too. Looks like something HUGE went amiss. Thank goodness it was short.
