If anyone believes this whole kneeling thing is about police brutality, maybe you should explain it to these guys.

Puerto Rico begs for help while Trump tweets NFL
tundra replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Just putting one more here, from the Daily Beast, from 3 days ago. I guess POTUS is supposed to go running to Puerto Rico himself, but that still wouldn't make some happy. Even the National Guard couldn't communicate, there was no way for them to! http://www.thedailybeast.com/even-the-national-guard-cant-communicate-in-puerto-rico -

The airport is damaged...........but of course it's much better to blame POTUS for all the devastation than admit the truth. The hate is dripping in here. <snip> https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/why-cant-we-get-out-of-here-airports-in-puerto-rico-other-islands-damaged-and-slow-to-recover/2017/09/27/44d83cb4-a2e8-11e7-8cfe-d5b912fabc99_story.html?utm_term=.1252ef75235b -

Puerto Rico begs for help while Trump tweets NFL

The radar is damaged at the airport, they can't safely get people out and supplies in. They are sleeping on the concrete hoping to get a flight out. Instead of being so aggravated at what YOU think the President did and didn't do. How about you look at the real truth you say you want to see. So have you seen the airport? Do you know it doesn't have power? No planes can't get through and helicopters can't fly safely when radar isn't working properly! I'm saying your hate for POTUS is preventing you from seeing the real truth. People HERE with all the necessary supplies are still -

I hear, I see, I know what I heard that governor say. Do you know I have a very good friend that is a Medical Doctor there, in San Pablo? He hasn't had much rest and his wife has gone several days not even being able to talk to him because he only stops long enough to sleep. I assure you, they are doing all they can, with the support of the White House. They CAN'T get to them........ The roads are gone. They have truckfulls of stuff they can't deliver. It's an island. -

How is this the fault of POTUS? Do you realize the roads are gone, as in NOT passable in many areas? Do you know trucks and planes can't get through? Do you realize there is NO gas there to fuel the trucks? -

So you don't believe the elected offiicals from Puerto Rico? You believe the left wing media instead? ^^^there are quotes up there. Things are not always as they appear. Do you realize there are parts of Florida that still don't have power? And that Texas is still flooded? Do do you not think people are doing all they can? Including the President of the United States? -

Soooo how are those Dem sites painting the situation with Puerto Rico this evening? Everyone does know, Trump has been with Puerto Rico from the beginning on this, right?. Instead of everyone coming together to help those in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, people want to point fingers, fuss, and argue. #PuertoRicoStrong <snip> https://www.theepochtimes.com/trump-prepares-long-term-support-for-puerto-rico-us-virgin-islands_2321792.html -

"Joined by his homeland security adviser and acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Trump on Tuesday spoke by video conference with Puerto Rico's governor. Photos released by the White House showed Trump, his arms crossed, listening alongside grim-faced aides as Puerto Rico's governor provided them with an update." http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/26/politics/trump-puerto-rico-response/index.html -

Do you really think he has not been involved in this recovery effort? Seriously? You know he's commander in chief and that military hospital couldn't be there without his approval. You know that right? Do you also realize he needs to stay out of the way to let the rescuers do their jobs? Certainly he didn't watch, on real time, the video of people being killed, by terrorists or a hurricane. You know Sandy hit on October 29th and Obama spoke on November 15th, right? You also know Puerto Rico is a little further from DC than NY or NJ, right? The hypocrisy is disturbing. htt -

You can hate anyone you want. Hate destroys you from within. But don't you dare sit there and accuse others of having no empathy when you are so filled with hate you couldn't possibly know what's in someone else's heart. I don't hate anyone, however more and more people disappoint me every day. http://blackamericansfortrump.net/index.php/2016/09/10/jesse-jackson-praised-trump-in-1999-for-lifetime-of-helping-african-american-community/ Trump is doing what he should. Shame on those that think he's ignoring Puerto Rico! https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2017-09-27/n -
The county has no contract with Brett Smith.

No vote by commissioners Pownall, Crowe, Collett, or Davis are the basis of any law suit. The law suits were filed as a result of votes by the PCAA, which Carmichael sat on and the BOC that included Carmichael, Austin, Graham, and Barnett. The only court action I'm aware of initiated by those first four was to determine if a county employee (Swafford) had the authority to apply for commercial passenger service, Part 139. Edited to add: I do believe they initiated a court action to ask the PCAA to enforce the contract with Propeller to pay the bond debt, as agreed by contract. The citizens

Carrollton Resident chosen to lead Atlanta-based CDC agency
tundra replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've come to believe if Trump appointed Hippocrates as head of the CDC, some wouldn't like it. I happen to know several people that sing the praises of this woman. Great choice!! -
Good job Austin, Carmichael and company you mean. NONE of this would be happening if they hadn't tried to commercialize the airport behind the backs of citizens. Yea, Jerry built the stupid thing but at least he didn't keep it secret. He had it out there, front and center. The 4 commissioners have indeed done what they campaigned on, trying to stop commercialization of our airport. Meanwhile, law suit after law suit has been filed because Austin and Carmichael thought closed door deals were the "right thing to do".

Cargo planes can already use the airport, they don't need Part 139. Maybe a longer runway, but not Part 139. The FAA grants would only go to the Airport Improvement Program. It can only be used at the airport, not on roads, infrastructure, or to relieve the tax burdens on homeowners. How's that Part 139 working out for those businesses that need extra security requirements at Hartsfield? How many of those types of businesses are located there? Exactly, cargo can use the airport now. It's ludicrus to think a change to scheduled passenger service would suddenly attract FedEx or UPS.

A small amount of cider vinegar with a drop of dish washing liquid in a 1/2 pit jar or a glass. Cover with plastic wrap, hold in place with a rubber band. Make a small slit in the top, enough for the fruit flies to get in, they will drown, they can't get back out. Change it daily.

Same financial report given to Paulding..........as Gwinnett. Here's the whole story of why Gwinnett rejected a start up company with no experience. They figured out the cost far outweighed the benefit of allowing scheduled passenger service. http://www.gwinnettdailypost.com/news/boc-says-no-to-commercial-flights-plan/article_6442535a-b087-5a44-93c9-add7f4bf2a2c.html

If you would have used your intelligence to read my original post, you'd see I said what you said to begin with.........scheduled service is Delta, Allegiant, Jet Blue, you know planes that can carry up to 150 passengers. No need for the commercial designation for small charter flights and corporate jets. Scheduled service will only pay nominal landing fees. I would have to reread that ridiculous 40 year contract to see if the airport or Propeller collects those. Either way there will be no relief to homeowners taxes with scheduled service. Per the Chamber of Commerce's own report.
-
You aren't right, nope. Commercial service includes scheduled passenger service. Quit distorting the facts to fit your agenda. Everything I said is absolutely true. Amazon, Google, Kroger, Home Depot corporate can already land their planes at our airport. Without Part 139, without changing a darn thing. Charter planes carrying passergers, no problem. Who wants to rent a charter to Vegas? We can split the cost and go from Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport.
-
Thank you. I hope people understand, right now, today with no changes corporate jets can and DO land at our airport. A general aviation airport allows corporate jets to land. Commercial service is for passenger airplanes of 150+ passengers, the Part 139 designation allows Delta, Allegiant, Jet Blue, etc land passenger planes at our airport. Commericial passenger planes will not, in of itself, decrease homeowner's tax burden. Planes have to be "housed", "homed", "assigned to", what ever you want to call it before they pay any taxes. At best, the airport will receive rental fees for

I'm still anti-commercialization. I find it quite fascinating those that claim they were once anti-commericalization are saying they changed their minds. I believe they were never really anti-commercial. Lack of government transparency, closed door deals, going against the voters. All indications of acceptance that it's okay for government to control them. Last I checked, government was "of the people, by the people, and for the people". Not for personal interests. I will never approve of going against the wishes of the voters. I've kept my eye on the goal, some lost sight of it.

If it kills mosquitoes, it will probably kill bees. Just be careful, natural is always best. Make sure you take away their breeding areas. Plant trays are the worst offenders. They hold water. Anywhere water sits, mosquitoes can breed. Moving air is the best defense.
