I am SO very glad that you tried and liked it. I met Sam last Friday on his opening day and I feel like I have known him forever...... Great man and awesome food. I am drinking a Soursop drink now...yumm.

I "think" his wife is. Sam is the sandwich guru and his wife handles the other items. The "beef" is the best. It is not ground beef but kinda like a bbq meat consistency...very good. The bread is similar to a cornbread and my sister who lived in Belize says that it is the real deal.

The empanadas are def. worth trying.

Merles's does have the best burgers around.

My BIL grew up in Key West. We went here for lunch today, and he was very impressed. My sister and her family lived in Belize for years and they were very impressed with how authentic this place was today. The empenadas (sp?) are awesome.

A great new restaurant opened today........and it is not a mexican place. Cuban Delight opened up near Tractor Supply. I picked up dinner from there tonight and LOVED it. The food is great and different than anything else around here. I got the Cuban Reuben sandwich with coconut rice and a quissillo for dessert. I had never had anything like it and I do believe that it will be a regular for me now. This place is worth a try for those looking for something different...........I hope that they stay in business for a while.

Forget the yard. Put it in the driveway right next to their car door. That way they will either have to remove it before they get in the car or they will have one stinkin car/

It saddens me to read some of the hateful remarks on here. If you do not like the Posters topic you do not have to read them. There is no sense in spewing hate and being a bully to someone. Sadly, we see where the young kids are learning their bullying techniques. PLEASE be kind, your hateful words may be the last straw for someone causing them to end it all.

The womens shelter offers COUNSELING CLASSES to NON-residents as well. I know several women that go and have only good things to say about it. The classes are on Tuesday nights. 770-443-5213
