We just wanted to let everyone know we will be open Christmas Eve from 6:30 am until 2 pm. We'll have biscuits, turnovers, cinnamon rolls and danish for breakfast and/or you can pick up a pie, cake or other sweet treat for your Christmas celebration. It is a wonderfully busy time at The Bumble Bee Bakery! We have been baking up cakes, cookies and pies galore. We have baklava, mini cannolis, chocolate rum balls, pastries, breads and well, lots more- for your holiday gatherings. We also have party trays filled with cupcakes, cookies, etc. Make things easy for yourself if you have to take something to a party! Hi! the cannolis (mini size) are 75 cents each, as are the donuts. The baklava is $1.50. I believe it has english walnuts in it, not black walnuts. I was told it is the "traditional, original baklava." Sorry, we haven't made any dobosh tortes, but we do have LOTS of other wonderful, sweet, tasty things for you to try.

We've had several requests for cannolis, donuts and baklava so now we have our own little delectable mini cannolis, sweet glazed donuts,and yummy walnut baklava. So come by the Bumble Bee Bakery and try some. We also can make up trays for your Christmas parties or school parties. (Along with a printed ingredients list if necessary.)

My suggestion is to make sure you give meds 1 at a time. Wait 2 hours before giving anythng else. My DD has a very sensitive tummy, and many times had to take phernergan (suppositories) just so she could keep down enough of the meds to let her get any benefit from it. I am glad your dr. finally called. It is so hard to see your babies sick and feel helpless. hugs.

A few of you were asking if we were going to have sugarfree items so when I have time I have been experimenting with some recipes. I made some chocolate cream cheese tarts yesterday that are completely sugarfree and except for the tart shell carb free, too! What kind of sugarfree items would you like to see us carry? And for those who don't have to watch their sugar intake, we have been working on new recipes for you, too! lol. Along with the favorites we keep in the case. I have a few sugar free cookies at the bakery now. Christmas shaped cookies painted with a splenda glaze. We filled an order for them and made extra for the case. They are 50 cents a piece. I plan to make sugar free chocolate cream cheese tarts tomorrow, if I have time. We just have so many orders! Which is awesome, lol, but it doesn't leave me much time to try new things.

The cupcake of the month has been named and it is...(drum roll, please) RED VELVET! With it's hint of chocolate flavor, vibrant red color and deliciously wonderful cream cheese icing -it beat out all the other cupcakes to win this honor! Come try one and see for yourself how good a red velvet cupcake can bee! lol.

I am off to the bakery. I just called and they have been baking bread. I LOVE the smell of fresh baked breads, especially the sour dough. I want to slice that thick crusty bread and smear it with real buttter. Wait for it to melt a bit and then gobble it down. mmmm. Anyway, just wanted everyone to know we will be there and open-we have so many people come by on Monday while we are there working. I hate to tell them we are closed. The cookies are baked, the cream horns are filled, the eclairs are coated with chocolate. I am going to make gingerbread men today. I love Christmas time.

Thanks for putting up the pics and kind words Bizness! To address the hairnet question- Caleb, the baker, wears a bumble bee bandana while he bakes to contain his wild hair. lol. The rest of us pull our hair back, wear hats or hair nets. We are very particular about hair not hanging down while we are in the kitchen. We always have someone there that is ServeSafe certified.

Sorry you weren't able to find a bluberry pie. We do make them, but you will have to pre-order a few days in advance. If only I had known, lol. I am sure your pie will turn out great. Maybe next time we can save you the trouble.

We will be baking and filling up the cases from early in the morning so there will be pies. We are just selling things as soon as they hit the case. I made 6 coconut cakes today and 30 minutes later they were gone! We will have some delicious pecan, cherry, apple and very berry pies tomorrow. Along with the pumpkin, sweet potato and chocolate chess. We have a small hummingbird cake in the case now and 2 single layer double chocolate cakes. We will be making red velvet and coconut, german choc, etc. as soon as we get there in the morning.

He isn't the only one! We sell many, many, many cream horns. Everyone loves the real buttercream icing we fill them with. We also do chocolate buttercream filled. You are most welcome! I ate half a sweet potato tart the other night and was wishing I hadn't gave the other half away. lol.

I am off to the bakery! Although we have stopped taking special orders for pick up tomorrow, we will have lots of goodies in the case that can be purchased for your Thanksgiving Feasts. I was just wondering, has anyone tried our new and much improved biscuits? We were not totally happy with the biscuits our first week, so we upgraded and improved! Now they are bigger and better filled. Let me know if anyone has tried them and what you think, please.
