What info would you like to see on bakery website?
bumblebee replied to bumblebee's topic in Business NEWS
We were thinking of selling cookies and cupcakes individually and by the dozen. I know when I visit a bakery I like to get a sampling of things. But the things I really like I get more of. But what better way to find out what you like than to try everything? I hadn't thought of individual servings of casseroles. That is a good idea. I wish we could open tomorrow. I am not sure about the bagels. But that is a definate possibility. Thanks. I am keeping all these ideas to see if they will work for us at first. -

Yes, they are moist, delicious carrot cake cupcakes with a cream cheese icing. Made with or without walnuts. And I grew the little carrots. Actually, they are just icing. But I make them out of gumpaste, too. -
I agree. McEntyre's cake squares are to die for! That is one of my favorite bakeries ---ever. And I love bakeries. haha. My daughter always said she wanted their cake squares instead of a wedding cake when she gets married. Hopefully, she will be wanting Bumblebee cake squares instead.

I will have to check into seeing if we can set it up so people can order thru the website. That would be great. And wouldn't it be awesome if there were honey coming out of the pumps? haha! We are working on the menu now. I am sure we will change and adapt to what people want, and have specials-especially for the holidays. Would anyone be interested in having a casserole of the day? btw-I posted a few pics you can see if you go to my album. -
Hi! It is so exciting at the bakery. Things are coming together and it won't be long now until we are open! We are meeting with the webdesigner this week and were wondering what information would you (the awesome people of Paulding County) like to see on the website? Of course we'll have our location, phone number, etc. But what kind of pictures and information would entice you the most? I have noticed when looking at other bakery websites that most don't have their contact info except on one page. I hope ours will be more visible. Well, I am off to make a Backyardigan birthday cake and

Great ideas! Thanks! I personally think if someone is at the bakery, it should be open. lol. But that would mean having at least 2 people working, because you can't stop some things once you start.

I have never been there. I will have to go make a visit...and try an apple pie cookie.

lol. It will be fun to be a part of a FIRST birthday. I made a cake and matching mini-cake just this week for a 2nd birthday party. I can think of several cute pink cupcakes ideas. )

Wow! What an awesome response. Thanks so much for the wonderful welcome. I will post a menu soon so that you can place orders! I have "sugar issues" myself so I would like to offer some sugarfree or lowcarb items.

I was just talking to someone about the Rich's bakery. We thought it was such a treat to go there. Mom always bought us the thumbprint cookies with different pastel icings on them and brownies... And the wonderful coconut cake. I don't think it is bragging (if it is true) to say that my coconut cake is at least as good as the Rich's cakes if not better. I have that recipe, too.

Yes, we make petit fours so a cake square should be easy to do! lol. I remember Blanchard's Bakery! Are you talking about the cake squares with the slight lemony icing covering them? And I can guarantee you will like our coconut cake. It is an old fashioned recipe. I have had many, many people tell me it is the best coconut cake they have EVER eaten. Our policy at the bakery is to make things that taste GREAT. Not the artificial tasting baked goods you get in some grocery stores. No mass producing, assembly line cakes or cookies. We want you to taste the goodness and remember the homemade goo

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion. I wonder how many people would be interested in gluten free products? Keep the suggestions coming.
