It is topped with our REAL butter, buttercream icing and rolled liberally in shredded coconut. (and not the sticky, sweetened coconut, either.) If you like coconut cream cake, you will LOVE our coconut cream cupcakes. We have had people drive from the other side of Atlanta to get them after trying one at a family gathering. The mayor of Powder Springs loves them and bought several over last summer and fall to take to her church functions-where she says they are gone in less than 10 minutes! And you know, church people know a good tastin' cake or cupcake. Coconut Cream Cupcake=happiness for o -
The Cupcake of the Month is.....drumroll please.... the COCONUT CREAM! We will feature this little delight all month long. Come by and try one for yourself. You will be glad you did!

It is going to be a cold morning. It isn't supposed to start any precipitation until later in the day-unless the weatherman has changed his preditions. lol. So, why not come to the bakery for a FREE bowl of yummy HIRAMIZED GRITS? They are mighty tasty! We also have fresh baked bread just in case you need some.

I don't mean to be an alarmist, and it probably IS just a virus, but ...if it is the "worst headache of your life", strong meds won't touch it, and you have any kind of nausea with it, I would go to the dr...just to be safe. My mother and aunt both had an aneurysm in their brains...my mother told me she had the flu when I called her that day, because the symptoms felt so much like the flu. If you don't want to go to the dr, at least go to a store and check your BP and see if it is high. And if it is, go to the ER. I really don't want to scare you, or anyone. But, I would feel awful if I didn

I thought it was physically impossible to get up without hitting the snooze button at least twice??? Ya'll come on by and git some grits. Warm and yummy in your tummy on these cold winter days.

Wow!!! Thanks for all the input! I am going to print a list and discuss it with everyone at the bakery and see what we can come up with. I got so into the soup idea I made soup for dinner tonight. Zuppa Tuscana-or Tuscan Soup. It is a light creamy broth with italian sausage, red potatoes and kale. And it was so good. Now I want french onion and chicken corn chowder. lol. Anyone else have a fave?

I meant soup, not soups. Bad grammer. ugh! lol

We have been seriously thinking about serving soup at the bakery and I was wondering, what kinds of soup would you (the wonderful people of Paulding County) be most likely to buy? Would you come to the bakery for a bowl of soup and fresh baked breads, rolls and cornbreads? Personally, I love a hearty bowl of soup on a cold winter day. Would you be more likely to "eat-in" or "take-out?' Give us your ideas.

If you are still looking, we can do some mini sammies on our freshly made breads. Or a variety of things, cheeseballs with crackers and/or chips, pigs in a blanket, sausage balls, olive garden type breadsticks with marinara sauce. We can get fanicer, but it has been my experience that kids like things that are familiar. With a variety of things, you don't have to have as much or say 350 sandwiches for 350 people, since not everyone will eat everything. I am sure we can work out a reasonable price for you.
