  1. I LOVE this. I did almost the exact same thing at my wedding. The preacher had to stop several times so I could try and compose myself. I was laughing so hard I was bent over doing the belly laugh! It is nice to know I am not the only one! Hope they have a great, fun marriage. lol
  2. Bumble Bee Bakery will be providing delicious desserts for this luncheon!
  3. Schools may be closed, but the bakery is open! So why not stop in on your way home and get some soup, bread and a nice cupcake or brownie? I will be so glad when spring finally gets here.
  4. I use the Sidekick. It is a small meter with 50 strips in it. It cost 19.99 at Walmart. You use it until you use up all your 50 strips, then toss it, and buy a new one. It is just as reliable as any of the others I have tried and much less expensive to use.
  5. Hi Ashlee! We would love to make her cake! But just to let you know, tiered cakes do cost a bit more. It takes the decorator a minimum of 3 hours usually to put together and decorate a cake like the one you posted. A bakery has to consider the cost of the materials, time to make the layers and bake it. Also time to make the icing from scratch (at least in our bakery, lol)time to tint the icing and fondant. Rolling out the fondant, making the decorations, stacking, leveling, and supporting the tiers, etc. I totally understand being budget minded. Their are options though. Call me or come by the
  6. Awww, you are so sweet. The party looks awesome. I love the theme and how you carried it thru even to the party favors. Maybe your little cutie pie will feel more like smashing it Friday. lol. Thanks for the shout out.
  7. Topfuelgirl, I am so glad she loved her cake. I really liked it, too. I will put a pic up when I bring my camera home this week. It was a really neat cake. I love reading all the great comments. We even have people call and tell us how much they loved their cakes. It is nice to know the extra care we take is really appreciated. I just remembered, that pic is on Sarah's camera. I will have to get her to send it to me. I am having my niece's bday party at my house today (in a couple of hours. I really need to get off the computer and get busy. lol) Anyway, her cake is a light almo
  8. message being sent. I tried to send you a message, but it says you arent able to get them. So, I never heard from you today. Call me tomorrow after 2pm at the bakery. Thanks.
  9. It isn't that they will not think it is a good idea. We just get SO many requests from equally worthy causes. Being a small, new business we can't donate to all. I wish we could, but, it just isn't possible. I will ask, though. And look forward to hearing from you later today. We had several people ask if we would open on Sundays, so we tried it last Sunday. But, it just isn't worth it. We really need a day off. lol. And Sunday is the only full day off we have where no one is in the kitchen.
  10. Wow! Thanks for all the awesome suggestions. I am going to take them to the bakery and talk to everyone and see which one they like. We have a key lime cake on our menu, and I thought of that, but it seems like more of a spring/summer flavor. We cut a key lime cake Friday and sold it by the slice and today I had a few people come in wanting more. So, it will stay in the mix of ideas for now. lol. I LOVE the idea of Irish Cream cupcakes. We can cook out most of the alcohol so that would not be a problem. I also like the idea of the shamrock on top, the rainbow, and the golden cupcake. And the c
  11. We are trying to come up with the "Cupcake of the Month" for March. March is the month of St Patty's Day. Luck, shamrocks, pot of gold, rainbow...all that. Any ideas or suggestions? Please help me out. I am drawing a blank. lol

  14. I like it spicey, however, at the bakery we try to satisfy the majority of our customers, not just me. lol. Besides, you can always add spice, but you can't take it out. I woke up this morning wanting potato soup. Maybe we will make that again soon.
  15. Come on in to Bumble Bee Bakery for some sausage and chicken gumbo and a slice of King Cake made fresh at the bakery. We liked it so much, we made enough for tomorrow, too!
  16. I would love to have larger copies of the pics to put on our website, Biz.Can you email them to me? Bella princess, I have a couple of larger pics on our Facebook page. Just look up Bumble Bee Bakery and become a fan.
  17. My family all loved Johnny Corrino's. They had a Penne Gorgonzola that was awesome! Also, their "gravy" (marinara sauce) was very authentic in flavor to us. Pasta Bella's sauce taste like watered down ketchup to me theone time we went there. Plus, my hubby got soooo sick after eating there so he refuses to go back. ( I may give it another try without him one day. Any place can have a bad night.
  18. It really was a lovely event, and the hotel is so nice!!! Right here in beautiful Hiram, GA! lol. We had a great time meeting everyone and seeing everything. The food from The Silver Platter was so good. It really nice of Amanda to put it together for everyone.
  19. Happy Anniversary. Today is 28 years for my sweet hubby and me. Feb 14 is a good day to get married. they don't usually forget your anniversary. haha.
  20. We had the mini ones all day today. Even had a few left over at closing time. Call me next time you are coming by and I will save you what you want.
