  1. What many folks don't realize is that, although he lives in Hiram, he doesn't represent a large part of Paulding County, including my area, so I won't have to make that choice. However, I do know that I have taken some actions based on sympathy rather than logic, and others may too. I trust the Republican party will insure that he is the best candidate for his district and that it's unlikely he will get much opposition. I also wish to thank PUBBY for his insightfull post, and realizing mine wasn't meant to be sarcastic although it might read that way.
  2. And ... consdering the situation ... who would vote against him when he comes up for reelection? Would you want it on your head what he might do if he loses?

The Leonid meteor shower will be at its viewing best that night, starting around midnight. The annual event, named for the constellation Leo, is a light show of comet crumbs caught up in the Earth’s gravitational pull as the planet swings through the debris field. “You’re essential seeing these crumbs rub against air molecules, and that creates the light you see

  7. That's good ---- before you changed it i was going to suggest that you restrict it to the cafe --- the political forum is no place for this.
  8. if you meant the Brick Oven Bistro in Rome, it was good enough to travel up toere for --- especially the daily buffet, but recent searches indicate it's been out of business for a while. Can't find a Brick Oven Pizza in Rome --- is there one?

  10. It's much more than a chat board --- It's the only up-to-date news source for Paulding County, ignored by the daily paper and by a weekly paper that has very litte news in it.
  11. The immediate care place on 278 in Dallas also gives physicals.
  12. If I get too much stress from pcom, i need the health insurace. Used to get stress only from the political forum!!!
  13. If you go to Walgreen's it's the one on Dallas Highway (120) by Lost Mountain. No clinics in Paulding. There is one in D'ville.
  14. I have a lot of patience and needed it for this move. I know several ways ot get rid of frustation, one of which was walking away from pcom for a day after the new board started acting up on me. Of course, I am glued to this board, so I knew I would do what it takes to get back on, including installing IE8 and foxfire. I believe that there are others who are not so patient and willl walk away from pcom. Hopefully, most but not all, will come back. BTW, I just kit another snag --- my health insurance company has a big message on one webpage that it won't work on IE8 --- they
  15. Although D'ville Poloce Chief Chris Womack says the coyotes are not a big problem and there has been no reports of agression, D'ville Cty manager says the coyote packs have been seen running about Hunter Park, te Wellstar Hospital area and downtown. I believe they have also been seen in Powder Springs. I would take precautions with your pets.
  16. I think it's because someone has just voted in the topic's poll. My last post for one topic was 3pm yesterday and it says the last post was 12:25pm today.
  17. Locked in with Coweta Fayette a few weeks ago at 0.755
  18. Actually, Ellen gave tickets to game 6 to an 82 year-old grandma who is a huge Yankee fan and has never been to a game. I was afraid the Yankees would win and she wouldn't be able to go --- blame it on karma.
  19. Norton's been running for several years. VISTA Home Premium --- just upgraded to IE8 from IE7 & Firefox because some message board was causing a lot of problems with IE7!!!
  20. Thanks --- tried that and have no such folder. System restore failed to work, due to an unspecified error. Guess I'll have to add the shortcuts as i need them, if i can remenber them all.
  21. Yesterday, my desktop shortcuts wouldn't activate programs when I double-clicked. So this morning, I restarted and half of them were gone. Checked the recycle bin and they're not there. Also checked the Desktop folder and they're missing. Figure I'm going to have to revert to my last checkpoint unless someone has some other ideas.
  22. I've seen Sanders Family Christmas at Marietta's Theatre in the Square in the past and it's an excellent entertaining show. I plan to see A Tuna Christmas this year --- it's the first time at the theatre. Got an e-mail that on Tuesday, November 3, only, they are selling tickets for most performances through December 8th at $15 --- you have to call the box office for these tickets. I'm omitting the phone # here because it shold get removed anyway, but if you can't fnd it online PM me for it. Sanders Family Christmas *11/25 - 12/08 (except Nov. 24) & A Tuna Christmas *11/19 - 12/08
  23. The 30 Rock TV Show last Thursday had a segment where they wanted to go to a real American town to look for a real American comic with real American values. Normally they woulduse a fictionalized town name, but decided to go to the town of their page, Stone Mountain, he's actually from Lilburn. They felt it sounded like a small town. Then they proceeded to discover things like Fatty Fat's Sandwich Shop featuring a carp and gibble po boy sandwich which turns ibto a comedy club after dark. It featured a ventriliquist and his dummy, relly Jeff Durnam and Bubba Joe, doing some redneck stu
  24. Things are working much better now, in IE8 & Foxfire. However, to see my last 10 posts, i must do an advanced search for my screenname, instead of using the assistant. Also, no problem with the Happy halloween band nor the ad band, but together they take up too much of my initial screen --- would be good if you could close (X) the Halloween band after viewing --- just the ad is fine --- like to give advertisers my business.
