Who has been to the Cobb Energy Center
AustinPlantation replied to its mr sarcastic to you's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We agree that all of the seats seem to be good. Parking is ok coming, but leaving is a pain because of the limited # of exits. Many folks seem to park at the shopping center across from the entrance and walk across. -
Ever get a traffic ticket in VA? How did it turn out?
AustinPlantation replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It was 70. Apparently this is the plan in Smyth County. Speedtrap.org -
WIfe must have had a trailer chasing her, because she got stopped for what we thought was a speeding ticket in VIrginia. Turns out if you're ging over 81 in VA, it's recless driving, not speeding. This happened in Smyth County. Ticket says you can't pre-pay and doesn't say how much the fine is. If you don't want to return to VA, you call, plead guilty, get fine info, and mail with a request for an absentee trial. Then the trial lawyer letters start to appear, trying to get you to hire one. Must be friends of the court. One claims fines go to $2500. So, any experiences? Nver

Posted to Facebook 8 minutes ago Does anyone have 4 milk crates we could borrow for our show this weekend? They would need to be sturdy enough for some kids to stand on! The Best Christmas Pageant Ever November 30th, Friday 7:00pm December 1st, Saturday 4:30pm and 7:30pm December 2nd, Sunday 3:00pm Someone responded " I have 2 or 3 red plastic milk crates....you are welcome to borrow them as long as I can get them back after you are done " So, I guess they need more. I guess you can send an e-mail to dallastheater@gmail.com or go to their facebook page and message.

Dr. told my wife that she has cataracts. Multiple choices. Standard lens replacement surgery, covered by Medicare, Will help her far vision. Advanced lens replacement surgery with a better lens, not covered, will be better. She doesn't really want any surgery. Only uses reading glasses now, would need very strong lenses. Looking for your experience (time to recover, problens, etc.) and where you had it done, etc. etc. Did any of y'all choose the advance lens and did your insurance cover it. We have suplimental too and would have to check if they would.

Enrollment is limited so act early before enrollments run out. Corporate and prepaid cards are not eligible. Their list and map includes them. -

They may not be gone. THe judge must be a big twinkee fan, because he sent the union and company back to the bargaining table. If you were a union member, which would you take? No job or a loss of pay?

Bird Watcher Supply, in the Chase Bank Center, is closing the Hiram store on November 30th. If you've never seen it, that's probably why. It's well hidden. THey had 30% off on everything last week and said it would go up this week. Quality bird seed, bird houses, etc.

Dante’s Down the Hatch to make way for apartment tower. Buckhead’s iconic Dante’s Down the Hatch restaurant is closing to make way for luxury apartments. Atlantic Realty Partners announced this week it reached an agreement to buy the eclectic jazz and fondue hotspot on Peachtree Road and build a 10-story luxury apartment tower in its place. If the deal goes through, Dante’s would close its doors to the public in March after decades as a draw for Buckhead party crowd, the Valentine’s Day rush and countless prom dates. See Article for more. This is a wonderfull place. D

What do you think about timeshares?
AustinPlantation replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We have one through Wyndham too. Their point system is much better than the old days. If you purchase one now, just keep saying no and they'll keep making the offer better. It's def *** NOT AN INVESTMENT *** but you can pass it on to your kids when you pass on. We spread the points out, not going in the heavy season. we just went to Myrtle Bch with our kids & grandkids, reserved two deslux 3-br suites and had a great time. -
THere s apparently a Quilting Guild that meets in Dallas.

That's fine, but I don't like stores wanting you to scan a QR code when you enter to get special offers. That means that anyone who can't scan a QR code will miss out. It seems like discrimination. That's my opinion. Does anyone really do that anyway?

Who exactly was right and who was wrong? Contractors had been planning to send out notices because of the WARN Act — Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act — which according to the Department of Labor requires “most employers with 100 or more employees to provide notification 60 calendar days in advance of plant closings and mass layoffs.”
