This is a dear friend of mine Carl Beck at the 60th anniversary of D-Day. He was in the 101st airborne and parachuted into normandy in the early morning hours. He was seperated and hid for nearly a week in a Frenchman's barn (a loyal Frenchman thank God, and not a vichy). He went on to serve at "A Bridge Too Far", Bastogne, and at Hitlers Mt. Retreat. He also served in Korea in the 187th Airborne. He recived a Bronze Star, French and Belgium Legion Medal and 2 purple hearts.
