Somebody shoot Floyd and eat him.

How have I lived all these years and not known what a "groot" is. I still don`t know. Don`t tell me. My head`s too full as it is.

Harriet Tubman deserves to be honored;however,Andy Jackson has his place of honor, also. If not for him,we probably would have returned to British rule. Jackson was not the only white mistreating Indians. Our whole government was to blame.

Are they good to eat?

I have neighbor kids who I would welcome to cut my grass, and some who I won`t let on my property. There are still good kids in the world. Also, some of the adults in my neighborhood wouldn`t be welcome on my property.

Ladies,if they have an Adam`s apple,throw `em out. -
Well, well. The last, and recent, restaurant owner who tried to get a beer permit was vehemently denied. This was the Cajun restaurant behind the old courthouse. This owner subsequently moved his business to Hiram, where he was issued a beverage license. Bad location, though, and the man shut down and left the county. He was from Louisiana,an "outsider",so he got nowhere with the town of Dallas. Now,suddenly, the "rules"have changed. I knew "Cajun" personally and would have issued a beverage license in a heartbeat, even though I quit drinking alcohol 30 years ago. He runs a straight ship. Sooo, somebod

What happened at Commissioner's meeting?

Lotta difference between an occasional landing, such as airshows, and continuous usage. -
When a medical examiner is one of the elite"good ol` boys",as happens and has happened in the past, then I prefer an elected coroner.I remember when the local "powers" did not want a coroner in the past. I want both the medical examiner and the coroner in the cases of questionable deaths.

Their strategy does not work on me. When I find it moved,I walk out. I will spend more time finding it somewhere else. I will not be manipulated. I am old and ornery. I was ornery when young. Just me.

In some states. Maryland for one. It has caused some people grief. I just flat won`t travel in a state where my license to carry is not recognized. I plan around it,unless I have to go there for a family situation.

I have someone`s leaf blower. I got it out of the road where it was causing a traffic problem,as no one else was willing to move it. I think it may have fallen off a white truck with a utility bed. Not sure, though. This truck did not come back looking for it,at least until I left. I waited a few minutes. Send me a PM and identify it,and I will see that you get it back.

Georgia state House votes to allow guns on public college campuses
sgt.rock replied to Jamie Weaver's topic in RECENT TOPICS
For those of you who think that absolutely nobody ever successfully defends themselves while carrying a gun,I can personally testify to the contrary. My wife and I probably would very well be dead now if not for me being armed. This was an incident where we were preyed on as a victim. I`ll say no more, except that I and my wife both carry EVERYWHERE we can legally do so. She knows how to defend herself and how to legally use deadly force. If people had been armed in most of our mass shootings, and knew what to do,the outcome(s) would have been different. I have no problem with people not wanting- 20 replies

That`s progress. I hate it. More stop lights. More flagmen. More crime. It`s ok for those who choose to live in/near it,but not for me.

Read the law. Frat houses and dorms are not included. You won`t be able to legally carry in those locations.- 20 replies

Which Is Best, Building Bridges, Or Building Walls?
sgt.rock replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Bridges work both ways. The Bridge Over the River Kwai was built to let more Japs invade Burma. Built with slave labor,Allied POWs. -

Yep. You see more action watching non-rednecks driving to work. Any 4-lane has more action than Daytona. -
Is this the same Steve Brackett that has a firetruck repair business?

How come folks move to Paulding county and whine because they can`t find a New York city place to eat? You know.I-75 and I-85 run both ways.

Why should we convert to European ways? The reason our racetracks run counter clockwise, and the reason we drive on the right side of the road,is due to the fact that our founders did not want to do anything the way the Brits did it. We were sick of European ways. I don`t want to be like them either.

Mechanics have to deal with it all the time. Even with things made in the US by American companies. Thank Bill Clinton for that. He went to Europe and got it going. You have to have both metric and standard tools to work these days.
