A New York court has made a ruling that I find both good and bad. The good part is that they have rejected a lawsuit seeking to give chimpanzees the same rights as human beings. The bad part is that some moron even filed this case to begin with. Case for Chimpanzee Rights Rejected by Appeals Court The plaintiff in a landmark lawsuit seeking legal rights for a chimpanzee has lost his case—for now. But never fear, morons don't know the meaning of the word quit! (or the word animal....or human....or common sense.....heck a lot of words) Attorney Steven Wise, founder of

I go to the movies on average, once a year. I will probably see the Museum movie, at least I was told I was going to go see it. -
Then this one is for you.

Along those same lines, when you are excited that you are getting new teeth. (ok, that one has to do with being old and a few other things) -

I agree that you should comply with a lawful order from the police. I also think that the police have better things to do than police loose cigarette sales, as long as that is all that is going on. In fact, why should that be a crime. I make these statements in general, not specific to this case. -
If you are as big a fan of schlockey, really bad, I mean really bad, soooo bad they are fun to watch, movies as I am, then you have to watch Troll 2 tonight at 7pm on the Chiller channel. What makes this movie sooooo bad that it is good? Well, here are just a few things: There is no Troll 1 movie. There are no trolls in the movie. The lead actor is a dentist from AL and the other lead actors have little or no acting experience. The script was written, in English, by an Italian husband and wife team, who spoke little English. This same husband directed the movie, with an Italian c

Here We Go Again. No Indictment in Death in New York

OK, I will be serious for a minute. I do not know what exactly happened with this guy in NY. If all the guy was doing was selling single ciggys, then crap, just leave the guy alone. I have no idea if the cops knew him and knew he sold drugs also or if the guys who sell single cigarettes usually sell drugs also, but I would have to think that selling single cigarettes comes just behind being a mime on the crime scale. (OK, being a mime is probably a lot higher than that) I will say this, I hope and pray that those who jobs it is to investigate these things want bad cops off the streets a -

Not being able to follow and understand a conversation is one of the first signs of old age. -
You and your old running buddies spend an hour talking about how often you get up at night to go wee wee and what medications help the most, instead of talking about chasing girls. What is your example?

You can't even compare the ex with the wife, other than they are both female. The current wife is only "normal woman crazy", the ex....well, let's just say that after her when the wife acts "normal woman crazy", I just smile and say thank you ma'am may I have another. Ohhh, just for the record, I am sorta trainable. Trust me, after being married to the ex, if you give me a list of stuff to get at the store, I will get everything on the list, no matter how far I have to go. I learned that after I tried three grocery stores and still came home without bananas, the next time everywhere was

PM me.

I was smart enough to marry the wife, but dumb enough to marry the ex, so you judge.

I guess I am not getting rescued. Want a poodle?
-
Ohhhh, just for the record, it doesn't bother me if someone says their animal is a rescue....now wearing your pants around the bottom of your bottom, that is a different story.
-
My point exactly. I wish someone would rescue me.
-
I agree, all my posts in this thread have been tongue in cheek. If anyone wants to rescue our poodle, please let me know.
-
Pay for a dog or cat? Who pays for a dog or cat? Heck, people are giving them away. Two of our cats and our bulldog came for a visit and never left. Heck, I can't give our poodle away, actually, I can't pay anyone to take him.
-
My point is that almost every pet is a rescue, otherwise they would be wild or dead.
-
You run from the law, they ought to be able to get a few licks in. Moral of that story....don't run from the law. I forgot that about that, we did have that discussion back then didn't we. Can you get my wife to not argue with me? Hey! Hey! Let's not be talking bad about fat out of shape people! We have a right to resist arrest along with the skinny people, we just don't resist as long.

As most of you know, I am usually a little behind the times and trends. (OK, I am usually a lot behind or never there at all) I hear this a lot now, "He/she is a rescue dog/cat." This term, rescue, confuses me. Rescue from what, a shelter, the pound, a bad owner, the wild? Aren't all pets basically a "rescue" pet?

Sooooo, you're saying the good guys are winning?

does it bother you when items read "made in china"?

Here's a tip. (actually two tips) When I first started wearing readers I would often forget them when I was at the grocery store. I started going to the reading glasses section and getting a pair to wear while shopping. Not buying a pair, just getting a pair off the rack and leaving the tags on, wearing them when I needed to read something, then returning them to the stand before I checked out. Yes, I looked a little funny, but then I look a little funny even without a pair of reading glasses with tags hanging off them. Second tip, go the Dollar Tree, the glasses there are a $1 each.
