  1. Well, I learned something new today. I thought a guinea hen was a type of chicken. Here what wiki said about eating them: Guineafowl is commonly eaten in parts of Africa (notably Nigeria and Botswana),[2][3] India and North America (notably in the state of Georgia). It is consumed at Christmas in some parts of Central and Northern Europe (notably in Belgium and the UK).[4] Guineafowl meat is drier and leaner than chicken meat and has a gamey flavour. It has marginally more protein than chicken or turkey, roughly half the fat of chicken and slightly less calories per gram.[5] Guineafowl
  2. Do I understand correctly that you have a large number of chickens running around your property? And that these chickens belong to a neighbor? And that this is at least the 2nd time it has happened? If I do have that correct, wouldn't the neighbor want to keep their chickens on their own property so that the chickens would be safe? I was going to suggest letting the dog(s) out on them, but apparently your dog just likes to herd them not eat them.
  3. I do not see this as a left wing or right wing issue. I see this as an issue that affects the whole country and I know there are conservatives that have the same feeling about this as does pubby and others, and there are liberals that have the same feeling as do I and others. I feel the way I do about the matter and many people agree with my view, others feel completely different about the matter and many agree with that point of view. I feel strongly that I am right and others feel strongly that they are right. I am sure that both sides have some excellent points and there is validi
  4. Well, we didn't play "fair" as far as what happened by our troops, but that happens in all wars. Thank you for making my point about if you try and fight a war "fair", you will lose. We should have learned that from Nam and anytime we put our fighting men and women in harms way, give them all the support, tools and tactics needed to get the job done and done quickly. With as little loss of life to our people. Gen. Patton was for pushing and pushing and pushing his troops forward. Why? He knew that in war, the army that attacks and doesn't stop attacking will probably not only preva
  5. First, don't butter me up. (OK, butter me up) Second, I said in the second sentence that I haven't listened to Rush for many years, in fact, I think the 1st Bush was in the White House when I quit listening to Rush. I ran across this article and I happen to agree with him about why they were hassling this guy selling cigarettes, tax money. I haven't heard where he was also selling pot or any other drugs, so why else hassle the man. As far as the rest of your post on Rush, I have no reason to think that Rush says whatever he says for one reason and one reason only, money. So I pay him
  6. Look, if you think this doesn't happen in every war, by all participants, then you live in a fairly land. (nothing wrong with that necessarily, I have a nice house there myself, but when it comes to living or dying it does matter) It has happened from the first war ever held and it will happen in the last war ever held, by all sides involved. War is about nothing, nothing, I repeat, nothing, but winning. To lose a war but say you lost while "playing fair" is nothing but....not smart. The only difference in this case is that some morons think the American public needs to know this...and th
  7. I happen to agree with ole Rush on this one. And before anyone thinks I am a huge Rush Limbaugh fan, I quit listening to him years ago, after he quit taking phone calls and started preaching. It wasn't fun nor interesting to me. But in this case, he says what I have been thinking, fairly well. At least in the parts that I have quoted here. “I think the real outrage here is that an American died while the state is enforcing tax collection on cigarettes. This is just absurd,” said Limbaugh. “And it -- you know, people talk about the left, they want a big state, they want a powerful st
  8. That was the song that the wife guessed was my favorite. It is in the top two.
  9. The fact that you and Citizen Cain cannot tell the difference between a regime that was bent on world dominance, racial purity, racial superiority and a country trying to protect it's self and it's people from an organization and people who have vowed to destroy it and them, is a great example of why common sense is not common. But I still like you both. I just wish that y'all couldn't vote. (same with the wife)
  10. And I guess the Tweeter is keeping track of me, so they sent me a picture. Dresden, after the bombing.
  11. The following statement can be said for many of the threads lately. I always look at who started the problem, not who is there to try and resolve the problem. The main responsibility is on the person that started the ball rolling. Don't come crying to me because you started the ball rolling and it ended up rolling back on you. If you don't want the ball to roll over you, don't start the ball rolling!
  12. Thank you. I had asked my mother why she called them drunkards and she didn't know. I had to tell her that was not the correct term for them, her response, "It's correct for me."
  13. Study up on Connecticut and their approach to justice for any criminal. They are notorious for leniency and the "old family money" system.
  14. To quote Major Richard "Dick" Winters, who commanded Easy Company, 101 Airborne Division, "In combat, you look for killers." If you do not know who Dick Winters is, then you should either read the book "Band of Brothers" by Stephen E. Ambrose or watch the HBO mini series of the book, Band of Brothers. Major Winters and the men of Easy Company, as well as the rest of the 101 Airborne are true heroes.
  15. I have no clue what a "24" scenario means. As far as the rest, again, if we had fought WWII in this "full disclosure", environment that we are in today, we would have lost the war. War in general is simple, you kill them before they kill you and you keep killing them until they lay down their arms and stop fighting. In every war there are mistakes, there is "collateral damage", there are prisoners killed, there are mutilations of the dead enemy and there is torture to try and save your own troops and/or people. In WWII... We (the American & British) fire bombed the city of Dresden
  16. Best I can tell from your answer is that if we were counting on you to find out about and stop an attack, we best bend over and kiss our rears goodbye. Excuse me Mister Terrorist, are there any attacks planned that we need to know about? No? Well thank you Mister Terrorist, in that case we can all sleep well. If "The Greatest Generation" was made of the people we have today, half the county today would be speaking German and the other half Japanese...instead of half English and half Mexican like it is now.
  17. Here is a question, if what they did uncovered information that prevented another 9/11, was it worth it? What if the attack was scheduled for where your loved ones work and live? (ok, that was 2 questions)
  18. I don't know what you call it, but I know that in Vegas, it cost extra.
