F***. I thought this was a simple question. We built a freaking general aviation airport to attract business to that airport and we apparently don't even have a person who's main job is to bring businesses to the airport? I am afraid that for whatever reasons, this will not happen. To paraphrase Lincoln, you can't make everyone happy all the time, but we as a county need to do what is best for the county. I guess the answer is, yes, we built it without having any firm customers. And in the past 7 years we haven't been able to get any customers. As someone in sales, I can promise you, if you can't get a customer in 7 years, you get fired. Actually, you get fired before the first year is up.

Let me see if I got this right. We built a general aviation airport without having plans in place for customers? Sooooo, it truly was a case of build it and they will come? Can you answer my questions (there are in at least 3 posts) about the county's plans for general aviation? And is it true that we built a hanger that couldn't accept aircraft? If so, who was in charge of this project, the Three Stooges?

I do not know the answer to these questions. Did we have a business plan for general aviation? If so, doesn't that plan belong to the county? Are we on track with the GA business plan? Did we give up on this plan? I have asked these questions in another post, I am guessing that everyone else is as in the dark as I am as far as answers

If I understand pubby correctly, the airport deal is being done based on a guess. Yep, that is the way government works.
