  1. I remember when Bill and Brian were lost in the Pacific while trying to fly around the world. Also, there was the time when Bill and Brian's soccer team's plane crashed in the Andes Mountains and they survived by eating their teammates.
  2. I resent those cruel words.....I could have ponytail, if I wanted one.
  3. Let me be clear, I was not insinuating that you were in collusion with anyone. In fact, I inferred that you were deliberately kept in the dark.
  4. I somehow signed us up for Prime while trying to order a book for my Kindle. I am one of those click it till it is gone type of people and I guess I signed us up. The wife was not happy, but after using it for a year, she is very happy. She can order as much stuff or as little stuff and still get free shipping, now that we know a little more about how to use or smart TV, we use the Amazon for watching stuff now and then and it is free because of Prime. So once again, I thought I had screwed up and was wrong, but it turns out I was right all along. It is tough never being wrong. No!
  5. I am not Zorro, nor do I play him on TV, but I think he was pointing out that some journalists do get into combat areas, where getting killed is not hard to do. Such as what happened to Ernie Pyle. BTW, if you get a chance to watch the movie, The Story of GI Joe, please do so. Burgess Meredith does a great job playing Ernie Pyle and Robert Mitchum is always a treat to watch. It is directed by William "Wild Bill" Wellman, who himself fought at a pilot in WWI and had a plate in his head from being wounded in combat.
  6. Now I admit I am being a little unfairly hard on you on this one pubby. I think that you were being used in some way (I only say the word used, because I do not think you were given as much information before this meeting as you should have been, due to someone else's agenda) and kinda got dropped in the pot. (the hot kind, not the smoking kind) I hope you will take my remarks in the spirit in which they are intended, which is not malicious and a few of them in fun. I await your final report.
  7. You can understand his problem, without the umbrella, rainwater can get in.
  8. In all seriousness, I would suggest you ask if your medications need adjusting.
  9. Or lack of wisdom. Some days a monkey typing could make as much sense.
  10. Who knows? There are cases where people have known things that were impossible to explain except through "past lives". Well, no one was ever able to give another reasonable explanation anyway. My mind is open, but always on guard for fakes.
  11. I liked the 60s, gas was cheap, cars were real cars, food was cheap, crime was almost nonexistent, people respected people, kids were kids, movie stars were real movie stars, music was real music and I had more hair and less weight.
  12. Going back to it's beginning days NASACAR has made rules and sanctions up as they went along. The rules and consequences for breaking the rules has never been applied equally. In this case, there are two things at play. Public perception and opinion, already inflamed by NFL incidents and Kurt Busch's standing with NASCAR. Busch has already had so many issues with threatening reporters with violence that his standing with NASCAR has to be fairly low. If you want to read a good book about the early days of NASCAR, read the legendary Henry "Smokey" Yunick's autobiography. Not only does i
  13. Bill and Brian recall their days as LE officers in Los Angeles. Together, along with their buddy Joe Pesci (ok, ok), they were a leathal weapon against crime.
  14. Short answer, you called this a press conference. No freaking press conference in the world, except this one, banned audio and/or video recordings. Not sure what your post is about, I am speaking about Mr. Jones's press conference.
  15. I'm betting on Kurt Busch winning Sunday's race. That boy will beat everyone.
  16. I call BS on a press conference not having audio or video allowed. While I am not, nor have I ever been, a reporter, I have never heard of a press conference that wouldn't allow such recordings. Like I said, that is what a press conference is all about. As far as Mr. Jones being a "source", he is a paid official of our county government, one who has been accused in print of abusing his office. I can only presume, based on Mr. Jones's actions after the allegations were published, that there is some basis for these allegations. And I also presume that this meeting, press conference or what
  17. So there was a press conference without press? I have never heard of a press conference that wasn't recorded, isn't that kind of the whole point of a press conference. So this was just a "let me tell you what really happened", as he packs up his stuff, after he resigns, after an article is published listing alleged abuses by Mr. Jones in his position of authority. Isn't that sorta like the teenager who is explaining how the cops got it all wrong last night when they popped him for DUI, while he is cleaning the beer cans out of his car. ETA, let me guess, when you boil it all do
  18. Support groups can be very helpful and are usually free, but what I was speaking of was an actual "class" or course. This type of class is not usually free and has a set curriculum.
  19. I tell you what the problem is, it's them space rockets. They keep shooting them space rockets into outer space and pokin holes in the atmosphere, letting all the heat out.
  20. Ohhhh please please please, let's have another talking head lying about where there were and what happened there. I heard that Brian and Bill said there weren't killed in Bolivia by the Federalies. They came back to Hole in the Wall and lived happily ever after.
  21. I would recommend taking a divorce recovery course. One that has a specific start and finish. These usually cost and are held one night a week. They are often held at different churches, but the one I did was not religious. I found a lot of it to be stuff I already knew, but the parts I didn't know were worth the money, time and effort. Each night covered a different aspect of dealing with a divorce and life after divorce. There were several ladies in their 60s who told me it was very helpful as they had been married since leaving home. There wasn't a lot of whining about ex's, it was a
