I just read stand up comic, movie actor/director and Oscar host Billy Crystal's autobiography Still Foolin' 'Em: Where I've Been, Where I'm Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys?. For those who may wish to save your nickles, here is my take on what Billy has to say. He loves; his wife, his kids, his parents, his uncles, the Yankees, Micky Mantle, being a comedian, Sammy Davis JR, Muhammad Ali, Howard Cosell, directing and writing movies. He hates; war, homelessness, hate, Republicans, Joe DiMaggio, crime and disease. He endlessly mentions, being Jewish, being Jewish and being Jewish. H

Try Taqueria Jalisco in Douglasville. It is in the Kroger shopping center on the corner of Hwy 92 and Hospital Dr.

I'm sorry, I not sure what you mean. I have to fly next week and there will be at least one overweight guy on that plane. (guess who) But I do not go to Hooters, unless a customer wants to eat there, I have never been a fan of Hooters. To me, it is strip club light. I don't do strip clubs either. I am not sure if they are demeaning to women, I think that is something a woman would have a better understanding of, but I do think they are demeaning to men. I hate being looked at as nothing but a $ sign.

I want to make sure that I am not misleading in my opinion. Yes, I think a private business has the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. No, I would not wish to do business with someone who refuses service to people due to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age or things along those lines. But, because I do not wish to do business with them doesn't mean they shouldn't have that right. As I said in another post, if you are in business and you cut out a portion of your potential customer base due to your prejudices, I think you will soon be out of business. Let's ta

On my way, keep the light on.

I think I was 21 or 22 at the most. Like I said, many many years ago. I was a player back in the day. :)

Figures a GA Tech person would take delight in another's pain. Or were you just looking for a place to show off your smiley thingies?

I was arrested for public drunk many many years ago. But they dropped the case because the law in the county I was arrested in stated that you had to be drunk and obscene or fighting or something else that I can't remember. I was just drunk and throwing up in the bathroom toilet. That was not against the law, even if it was 9:30am on a Tuesday morning. (true story)

I am a victim of discrimination all the time. Every time I hit on some 20 year old cute little gal, they always go, "Gross! You're old enough to be my grandfather!" That is age discrimination and based on some of their other comments, I am a victim of weight, hair loss and general appearance discrimination. I have to say it hurts....a lot....and so does that broom my wife beats me with every time she finds out about it. Which is most of them. (I have to remember not to do that when she is with me) Hmmm, I just realized, I am a battered husband. I would tell the wife, but she is curr

In case you don't know, here is where that phrase came from originally. A great movie, Treasure of the Sierra Madre

You, Papi and Cranemec? I knew that day I met you something like this was going to happen.

That's what I said. He didn't like that answer.

I am ok with discrimination, it is done everyday by every person in the world. I don't wish to eat there, it looks dirty. I don't wish to date that person, they are too old, too young, too fat, too skinny. I don't wish to buy gas there, the price is too high. I don't wish to see my aunt, she is always angry. I don't wish to vote for that person, they do not believe what I believe. All day, every day, by everyone in the world, discrimination is done. The word used to be used as a complement. He has discriminating taste when it comes to, art, books, women, business, etc. I am not tr

No rabbit trail, just a simple answer to your question. Again, you don't like the answer because it shows that a simple yes or no is only given by those with a simple mind. As much as you (and I) would like it to be, life is not simple.

If it is a privately owned business, they should be able to. But then so many want the government to be their mommies and daddies.
-
You need to visit different streets. Just saying.
-
But, there is more than one example. There are many, some with as deadly consequences, some with just hurt feelings. "Honey, do the jeans make my butt look fat?" "No, the fat in your azz makes your butt look fat." "No dear, you look nice." Like I said, it answers your question. It just isn't the answer you wish.

How do I and poor sweet Dana get drug into these things? (I can't speak for Dana, but I wasn't drunk in public, till that bouncer threw me in public.)

Is it morally wrong to lie? It's Germany 1942, you have Jews in your attic. There is a secret door and a secret place in your attic. You are asked by German officials who have looked your house over and found nothing, "Is there any place we haven't looked? Is there anyone here we haven't seen?" What is the morally correct answer? Lie or tell the truth. BTW, the above is my answer to your question.

If they are privately owned. I don't know of any that are privately owned, but you may. Are you feeling OK? I am very worried about you, you are making great sense. Did you receive a major blow to the head?
-
You may wish to skip this, I agree with you 100%. (now you are worried, huh) Yep. If you own it, you should have the right to serve or not serve who you want. By the same token, I and everyone else has the right to not support a business that does not treat all people properly. I know I am a radical, thinking that if it is yours, you own it, you should be able to do with it as you please. It is a waaaaaay out idea.

I haven't read all the responces, but Johnny Carson shortened his show by 1/2 hour because HE wanted to. He contract was up and he was going to quit the show and NBC and ABC were fighting for him. ABC offered him a super sweet deal, then the Iranian hostage crises happened and ABC started Nightline. Then NBC asked Carson what it would take and his answer was, own his own shows, including the past shows, a 5 show deal for Carson producing company, a s***pot full of more money, work 3 days a week, one day a guest host and one day a rerun and shorten the show by 1/2 hour. Johnny's ratings wer
