US bigger threat to world peace than ISIS?
cookies are sweet replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We got french people in Paulding county? Now, I admit that I do not like the french in general and I admit that I have no problems living in Paulding county. (well, no more problems that you have living anywhere, just problems of a different kind maybe) But I have to ask this, say you are a frenchman in France and you decide to move to the good ole US of A. How in the heck do you end up in Paulding county? Did you just throw an dart at a map and say, "That izz it. I vill move to zee Dallas, GA." (this post was rhetorical and not serious and does not require a serious answer) -
Well, I'll tell you TP, "they" are the ones that cause all the trouble in this world. All my life I have heard about "they" and "them" and it is rarely good.

I blame the french. -
Like I said, I'm confused. On one hand they say it is not that easy to get and it is easily contained. On the other hand they say it is a "major" problem that will take a "long time" to get under control. Is it just me or are they talking out of both sides of their mouths? Here are two solutions. 1. Don't let anyone who lives or visits ebolaville leave, until it has been proven they don't have the ebola. 2. Napalm (it smells like...the end of the ebola)

Thank you!!! Texas was it's own Republic before becoming a state, thus the lone star on it's flag. -

Texas has that right, they can become their own country if they so choose. Texas being able to separate and become a sovereign country on it's own was part of the agreement when it became as state. At least that is my understanding. -

Believe what you will, I am honest about why I posted it. But it is interesting that you made a connection, one I never made until you yourself brought it up. -

Nope, that has never occurred to me. I found out about the Mystery Castle and was interested in how it came to be. Found the story about that and thought it was a very interesting story, especially since he had all that hidden loot. Another interesting thing I found out, famous people donated stuff to the Castle, presidents, wealthy people, heck there is a couch there designed by Frank Loyd Wright. I just thought the whole story was.....interesting. Never once thought of the ebola or of those living in ebolaville. -
I know you study history. How many US soldiers died, that did not have to die, because De Gaulle insisted that Paris be taken instead of bypassed? Who did did Churchill and Eisenhower say caused almost as much trouble for them as the German army, De Gaulle. Yes France did some good things...but like you point out, that was before Nepoleon's time. Since shortly after WWI, they have been the bootlickers and of Europe, not to mention traitors to their own country. In WWII, just as they have done through out history, a large part of the French said, "We were with you all the way Adolf, Sieg H

Call someone, I agree with pubby! One of us needs help! To me, you are correct in that you have to take in the time that this took place. TB was a death sentence, it did have some stigma attached (in fact some of this stigma was still there when I was kid) and like I said, no one knows why he didn't return after he kept on living. I have no issue with mei lan's or momof3's opinions, I understand why they have them and where they are coming from. I think it would be interesting to see if more men gave the dad a "pass" than women. Bottom line, I just thought it was an interesting -

The man has been dead for 70 yrs, I doubt he cares what any of us think. But then again, you may be haunted tonight. -
Is your point that it is a good start? What army first fired on US troops, during WWII, when our troops first went into battle in the European theater of war? I'll help you out, the French.

I suggest that you retire now and never post again. You will never say anything that is more true, more accurate and with as few a words. Go out on top and at least get a different posting name. -

Interesting that people see it so many different ways. And I use the word interesting as it is defined. in·ter·est·ing adjective \ˈin-t(ə-)rəs-tiŋ; ˈin-tə-ˌres-, ˈin-ˌtres-; ˈin-tərs-\ : attracting your attention and making you want to learn more about something or to be involved in something : not dull or boring -
I thank all of the private citizens for being active in local issues and for supporting and doing what they think is right and proper for the county. That includes those who are for and those who are against commercialization. While I am not happy with the way things have happened and I am not to thrilled with the way it seems the airport is being run or the airport authority and I am not sure how I feel about commercialization of the airport, I do appreciate those who are willing to put their money, time and effort into what they think is right. Excluding those who are elected offici

And half of France would have surrendered and came over to our side. Heck, a clown car with clowns could invade and beat France.

It does, although I am not on either side of the aisle. I do believe that you should be able to take the money they have on them, if they also have drugs on them. Moral of the story, if want to deal drugs, you have to trust someone else with holding your money or risk losing the money and drugs both. So while I agree it has gotten way out of hand, in some places, and needs tightening up, I am not 100% against the idea.
