  1. The wife disagrees with me, but I am sure I have the ebola, I have a temp of 98.9 and I can feel the ebola pressing against my brain tumor, causing me to want ice cream. But the good news is....it's not the flu.
  2. And that is the bottom line. (no pun intended)
  3. Thank you for your help, those who gave help. (I know the panda is like I used to be back when I lived in the dark ages, she doesn't have a smart phone) I am now going to be able to play my Kate Micucci, Riki Lindhome and Garfunkel and Oates songs in the car! Or anywhere! How great is that!
  4. You duck people know who you are. (this may be an old video and posted before, IDK) (man, I am getting good at using the letter speak thingy)
  5. Who can tell me how to put a few songs on my new smart phone? (yes, those songs) I have a Droid MAXX, whatever that is. Can I put them on the phone using yourtube?
  6. You are presuming an awful lot from a man you never heard actually speak. (I do have a stutter at times, so it is a fifty/fifty if I could actually say it)
  7. There are good lawyers, no doubt about it. There are good ones and bad ones, just like in any other walk of life. I have met a few of both. (all lawyers think differently than normal people, they can't help it...it's like engineers, those schools do something to em )
  8. You go! Good job! We only have these left. I am a little surprised that the last two have been gotten, they are famous quotes from well known movies. One of the best, worst movies ever. (oops, I said too much) "Greetings, my friend. We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future." A movie with an iconic scene. "I want you to hold it between your knees." This movie sparked a hit song. "That'll be the day."
  9. We are getting the names filled in, good job! In the older days, movie actors and actresses had nicknames. Here are just a few, can you name the actor or actress that matches the nickname? Or do you have some nicknames to add to the list? Some are easier, some are harder. Old Stone Face The Platinum Blonde The Great Profile The IT Girl The Sarong Girl The King The Sheik The Voice America's Sweetheart Man of a Thousand Faces The Duke - John Wayne Bogie - Humphrey Bogart The Peekaboo Girl The Sweater Girl The Little Tramp - Charlie Chaplin The Baron The Body
  10. In the older days, movie actors and actresses had nicknames. Here are just a few, can you name the actor or actress that matches the nickname? Or do you have some nicknames to add to the list? Some are easier, some are harder. Old Stone Face The Platinum Blonde The Great Profile - Bob Hope ?? Nope, but understandable guess The IT Girl The Sarong Girl The King The Sheik The Voice America's Sweetheart Man of a Thousand Faces - Frank Gorshin?? Nope, Frank was never a movie star The Duke - John Wayne Bogie - Humphrey Bogart Correct! The Peekaboo Girl The Sweater G
  11. The lyrics to their song, As You Are, which was written about a friend, not a boyfriend. [Kate] Sit back, you don't have to work so hard It makes me tired to watch you try Relax, you already played your cards And I know which ones are a lie [Riki] It makes me really sad to see The things you think you have to be Just to be enough for me When you already are [both] Why can't you just look at you In the same way that I do? Through all that's false and all that's true I like you, as you are [Kate] I know that you can get sad sometimes I see it mostly when you smile Let go of all of your su
  12. Thanks for the reminder, I just reposted it on the wife's FB.
  13. I personally know of two cases similar to the Morrisons. One involves my mother, one involves my mother's sister, my aunt. In my mother's case, as I think I have posted, my mother gave in and let the developer and the City of Smyrna do what they wanted. So the city basically got 10' of her property from the front to the back, not to mention the 5 oak trees that were 8'-10' around in size, and the developer didn't have to lose 10' on his side for those postage stamp lots with the 3/4 of million dollar McMansions on them. The reason my mother gave in, she was scared and as she said, "I do
  14. The news people say the CDC is in crisis mode. Here is my question, how can ordinary, average, people, who have not been trained and educated in this stuff, here in little ole Paulding County have seen this coming, but the government and the CDC couldn't?
  15. I don't know the precise answer to that question, but I know one thing, if there was an offer to settle, the Morrisons felt it was not an adequate amount. And since that was their decision to make, I presume it seemed to be the best decision at the time. If there was an offer made.
  16. The best way to avoid this type of thing is to keep the courts out of your family life. Before you reply DVBP, I know that is not always possible, but if people knew how it gets sideways sometimes when the courts get involved, they would work harder to try and resolve the issues themselves. So in that regard, I think your posts and messages are good info. (if not in other ways also)
  17. Nice way to tie in the movie quote thread and threaten me at the same time. Good job! Nah, I proved last weekend in Cherokee that I wasn't lucky. (thank goodness the wife only gave me a very small amount to play with)
  18. You make enough of these ladies mad enough and I can retire by holding an auction for your location.
  19. Casablanca is correct. Pubby often quotes on of the lines from that movie, which has soooooo many quotable lines. The line pubby quotes is, "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!" Here is the scene as it plays in the movie. Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds? Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! [a croupier hands Renault a pile of money] Croupier: Your winnings, sir. Captain Renault: [sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much. Captain Renault: [aloud] Everybody out at once! We still have these movies
  20. My momma once told me, "Son, you do what you think is the right thing to do. If others never know it, or acknowledge it or accept it, at least you know, you did what you thought was the right thing to do. After all, we can't be responsible for the action or inaction of others, only ourselves." (OK, maybe my momma never said it exactly like that, but trust me, that is what she said) So I say good job, panda!! I dare say that a few, if not all the people it is addressed to will see it (posting here helps to make that happen) and what I will find interesting is how many, if any, respond
  21. I guess Bolder, CO isn't the only good place to commit a crime and get away with it due to slipshod, lackadaisical, don't give a crap, police work. Sounds like if Jonbenet Ramsey had been murdered in Paulding instead of Bolder, we might have gotten the same results. Nothing. ETA, I would be tempted to be a smartazz and ask the Lt. if he thinks the person that took the pills would be willing to sell me back enough pills to cover my pain till the doc gets me new ones. But then they might have to arrest me and like the report on Melissa's arrest, I am sure that paperwork would not be misfi
