I personally know of two cases similar to the Morrisons. One involves my mother, one involves my mother's sister, my aunt. I don't know the precise answer to that question, but I know one thing, if there was an offer to settle, the Morrisons felt it was not an adequate amount. And since that was their decision to make, I presume it seemed to be the best decision at the time. If there was an offer made.

The best way to avoid this type of thing is to keep the courts out of your family life. Before you reply DVBP, I know that is not always possible, but if people knew how it gets sideways sometimes when the courts get involved, they would work harder to try and resolve the issues themselves.
