  1. :D Trump makes himself look bad almost every time he opens his mouth. The haters don't need a gotcha moment.
  2. This is embarrassing. It really is. Rudy Giuliani reminds me of an old Angry Grandpa and he's not even being factual. It's more than obvious the Trump campaign is relying on the angry misinformed voter. I'm no Hillary fan but this is a mess.
  3. How dare you forget to mention Scott Baio. Hello!! Charles in Charge...
  4. There's a difference between cop bashing and discussion of police brutality. While I won't ignore or pretend that there haven't been unnecessary comments and accusations regarding police on this board, I believe it's a stretch to accuse anyone here of having blood on their hands. The blood is on the hands of the individuals who were so filled with hate that they felt need to murder people were just doing their job. All people speaking out about gay rights, women's rights, transgender rights civil rights, etc. don't do so in an effort to divide or a take a political stance. They speak out b
  5. Since when are people not responsible for their own actions? With all due respect, you are way off here. Clearly we have a real problem here in America and it's not up to Allen West or any other militant right-wing blog to diagnose. Let's be real.
  6. Sending my deepest condolences to the Richards family. I'm so sorry for your loss.
  7. I have to be honest. I don't know who Jason is. Are we supposed to be mad that he is a supporter of the LBGT community and a democrat (GASP!) Or mad that he's misrepresenting himself?
  8. Thanks for the ideas. I found this organization. They have a drop off areas in Athens and Atlanta but they They also have an option where you can mail them. Media mail is cheap. http://booksforkeeps.org/donate-books/
  9. I never really thought about it before. The fact that some kids don't have easy access to books. I have TONS of books for kids of all ages. I had planned to sell them at a yard sale but maybe I'll look into an organization that can do something better with them.
  10. I'm happy to see the efforts of PCSO and the community to work together. I cringed a little during the video but it's a good start. Thanks for posting.
  11. Another point of view from republican senator Tim Scott. http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/13/politics/tim-scott-police-racial-profiling/
  12. I didn't read the article but I watched the video on FB this morning. So I wasn't commenting based on politics. Only what I saw. I voted for George Bush twice and I really like him as a person. He has a good sense of humor. That doesn't change the fact that when I first saw this video my first thought was is he drunk? As far as cain using it as a political attack, I've seen the same thing done over and over again in threads about Obama and the left. Tis the season for political bashing.
  13. I also wondered if perhaps he had fallen off the wagon. It was a bit awkward. Why not just admit it and move on? Not everything has to turn into a political debate.
  14. Meh. Life is short, have fun while you can. I don't get it either but as long as people are happy I say let them be.
  15. Well, she IS technically an adult now. It's time for her to be responsible for her own pokemon hunting.
  16. I will not enable my daughter by telling her where the Pokemon are. She's going to have to figure that out for her self!!
  17. Wait. I'm supposed to keep my wallet in my cup holder? I usually keep it in my purse. I guess I better reevaluate. Considering the times...
  18. I wonder what the outrage would be like if it were a blue lives matter protest?
  19. I agree. I get what they're trying to say but I wish they had worded it differently.
  20. I hate to see it happen but I knew it would. Too bad we didn't know what we know now about Clinton before she secured the nomination. Bernie should be where she is. I bet he had to go home afterwards and take a shower.
  21. I'm seeing a lot of threats of violence (and not from black people) in the comments. I hope PCSO is monitoring the post. Black lives matter want a peaceful protest but it seems the racist rednecks are hellbent on disruption. Go figure.
  22. By no means am I a cop basher. My husband's uncle and grandfather were both chief of the Detroit police. However, if anyone has a better explanation for how what happened here was justified, I'd love to know about it. I sincerely mean that. In the video we can't see what's going on in the yard other than the police in riot gear. But that doesn't explain why the people standing against the fence were all mowed down. http://reason.com/blog/2016/07/11/baton-rouge-police-arrest-protesters
  23. "To tar a whole group with the same brush is unfair and even dangerous"- Newsjunky Sure there have been questionable actions by people who claim to be part of BLM, but as a whole they aren't anti-white or anti-cop. Just look at all that hate! http://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2016/07/11/one-dallas-protesters-come-together-nccorig.cnn?sr=fbCNN071116one-dallas-protesters-come-together-nccorig.cnn0238PMVideoVideo&linkId=26433054 Also, if you'd like to actually educate yourself on black lives matter here you go. http://blacklivesmatter.com/11-major-misconceptions-about-the-black-l
  24. We could all learn a lot more from the adversity of others if we truly wanted to. It seems people don't want to. Some of the ignorance I've read on the internet over the past 3 or so days has truly been disheartening. I've spent many years reading and learning about black history, and all American history, but mostly black history. I don't know why, I've just always found it especially interesting. So it's frustrating when you see people who have every opportunity to learn more, to understand better, but they won't. When a person refuses to acknowledge why a mother of a black son might fear fo
