having a baby changes everything but is this normal?
jennilyn77 replied to jennilyn77's topic in RECENT TOPICS
what actions are immature? Having an argument? For god's sake we had an argument and I vented about it and asked for advice from others who I assume have had children and similar experiences. That dosen't make me immature. If it does, then I guess everyone who told me it was normal (everyone but you) is also immature. I have asked for advice about all sorts of things on p.com. I like to get other points of view on subject matters pertaining to my life. I realize that I am not perfect and appreciate input from others. and i'm not the first to ask for advice on p.com. Thankfully you have it all -

It's been my experience from your previous posts that you are indeed trying to be rude. But anyway, we are 33. I had my daughter at 19 and was a single mom. This is my husbands first. I already stated that my husband and I have been married 10 years and have always gotten along fine. We hit a snag, it happens to old and young couples alike. I have a feeling you didn't read the op too closely. Thanks for your input. -
On the bright side, I won $20 yesterday....

What was the recipe? -
I would pour it out too. Thats really gross. I hate milk though. Even without the chunks. The same thing happens to my hot sauce bottles, I end up getting hot sauce flakes in my food.

I've had a honey mustard pork loin in the crock pot all day. We will also have sauteed asparagus and garlic, rolls, and some kind of pasta mix stuff.

I googled Sara Babb park. I lurked for a loooong time before joining. I was skeered. I come for the occasional drama, medical advice, life advice, recipes, dinner ideas. I also genuinely like many pcommers and enjoy reading their posts. Even if I don't always agree. I like the funny pcommers.

so my day has been less than ideal but I did have a great day yesterday! I won $20 on a Family Guy scratch off! I hardly ever play but I needed to break a 20, so I bought 1 ticket. I used my winnings on a tan. Also, years ago I got pretty good at winning radio contests where you have to be a certain # caller. I won a game cube, a dvd player, private Audioslave concert tickets and a few other concert tickets. Nothing huge but it was exciting for me:) So, have you ever won anything? anything awesome?

well before I left the house he asked me if I wanted him to stay or leave and I said do what you want. Early this morning in a fit of rage I told him to leave, thats why he asked me that. see, I did say in my op that we both have said things we didn't mean. Thanks. -

honestly, i'd rather him just not be here. I'm sick of fighting. I think we could both use a cool down period. I don't want to make my hubs sound like an all out jerk or anything, he's very helpful and a really good guy. He has taken care of my daughter financially and emotionally since she was a baby. I'm still mad at him though. rough times in the jenilyn household but I know it will pass. -

I think that sounds good but what about nights like last night, he (the baby) got up at 11,2 and 5:30. If I got up that many times, considering it takes me a while to fall back to sleep, I wouldnt be able to function today. I guess i'll do it though because i'm sick of fighting about it. -

My dd slept like a dream right away. She fell asleep on her own when I put her in her crib. no problem. I'm having the complete opposite experience this time. he is four months and his sleeping is worse than at 2 months. when he wakes up he is unable to soothe himself back to sleep and instead of letting him cry we go get him. we made the mistake of letting him fall asleep in his swing or while eating. Now we are paying the price. part of me thinks he is just in the habit of waking up because we allow it by getting him up and feeding him. The other part of me is hoping that it's just a phase a -
I think some women seek out men they can take care of. Needy men who make them feel needed. weather it be a conscious decision or not idk. I know this is the case with a few of my friends.

Thanks ya'll! It really does make me feel better. And no, being a single mom is not easier but if there were a bright side to it, it would be no arguments. oh, and sending the kids to their dad for the weekend..... I keed, I keed. kinda. -
My husband and I cannot get along for more than a day ever since the baby came. We are both extremely tired with a baby who wakes up sometimes 3 times a night. We take turns getting up with him which is nice but then we end up arguing over who got more sleep and who's turn it is ect...Bottom line is we need to establish better sleep habits for the baby, and we are working on that but meanwhile our marrige is strained and we both have said things we wish we hadn't. Is this normal? Does it get any easier. I swear there is a part of me that thinks it was easier being a single mom with my DD, I

I stumbled upon this recipe yesterday and it sounded good, so thats whats for dinner. I used cajun Smoked sausage instead of kielbasa. My house has smelled so good all day! I haven't eaten yet but i've taken bites and it's gooood. So, what did you have for dinner? 3 slices of bacon 8 cups water 2 cups dry pinto beans 1/2 pound kielbasa sausage, cut into bite-size pieces (optional) 1 (15 ounce) can ranch-style beans 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste 1/2 cup dried minced onion 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeno peppers 2 tablespoons white sugar 1 tablespoon

I didn't stay home when my dd was a baby, I had to work. Now I stay home. Since I have done both I can say with confidence that staying home is MUCH harder!!!!!! So many times i've considered in my mind getting a job and taking him to daycare. I can't though. Not if I don't have to.
