Wicked was one of the hardest books to read IMO. I heard they were making it into a movie, but I have a feeling it's more based on the musical. Unfortunately. I love Fannie Flagg, I have ALL of her books. I just finished her newest, I still Dream of You. I think it's her funniest yet. I loved it.

Me too. I have to force myself to put it down. I'm reading it slowly on purpose, I don't want it to end. The most eye opening book I have ever read, as far as black history goes, was Cane River by Lalita Tademy. I reccomend it to anyone who liked The Help. Actually, I recommend it to everyone. It changed my life.

Yes, that would be them. I think she's better off in the long run without stepmom. maintain contact? sure. I think her main worry is her step sister who she is very close with, they are bff's. I will do everything I can to make sure they stay close. I'm not depending on stepmom for that.

unfortunately, her stepmom and dad aren't the most rational or smart people in the world. It would be ideal if they sat down as a family and had a discussion but it won't happen. Stepmom is MIA at the moment. How my daughter comes through this will be up to me 100%. I procreated with an idiot. My daughter learned today that her dad and stepmom are getting a divorce. She got a text from her step sister informing her of this life changing news. Her dad has yet to tell her. They have been married less than a year. Her stepmom has 3 kids that became my DD's siblings. Not to mention I know she loves her stepmom. I honestly don't know what to say to her. I have never dealt with divorce before. It hurts me so bad that she is hurting and probably scared that she will no longer be able to see the people she has come to love as her family. I made Talapia and scallops using the lemon garlic mixture suggested by the wise Soccermom. I even used it on chicken for my DD. Also, I had never heard of this Pioneer woman before. I made my entire weeks dinner menu using recipes from this website. Thanks Soccermom! You is the best!
