  1. He has not been on this since the beginning. It's literally been over a week now and they are just starting to see relief. I can only assume because of the criticism. Trump hates that.If Obama had the same response Trump has had to the situation in Puerto Rico, some of y'all would be singing a very different tune. Your hypocrisy does not go unnoticed.
  2. You're right, your hypocrisy is astounding. It's been an entire week since the hurricane hit and people are desperate for food and water. That wasn't so much the case after Sandy. But I don't give a pass to Obama because I'm not a hypocrite. :D
  3. That's rich coming from you. A person who very rarely ever voices opinions of your own, outside of quips and blogs.
  4. That's when the tide turned for me? That is ridiculous. Please don't pretend to know what goes on inside my head I am not a biased person. I have never posted fake news either on this form or anywhere else. I have always openly despised Donald Trump. Last night my post was about a radio interview that I heard with a reporter on the ground in Puerto Rico. I didn't post any links or spread any false information. I simply spoke of an interview. The response in Puerto Rico has not been what it should have been. Period. I think it's YOUR bias that keeps you from seeing the truth. You posted right w
  5. Our president makes a fool of himself almost daily. It's hardly the People speaking out about that that look foolish. It's the ones who are constantly trying to defend the indefensible. I for one love my country and I think Donald Trump is a disgrace to it. He's an embarrassment. You can call me hateful you can call me foolish call me whatever you want but I sure as heck and not going to stand by and keep my mouth shut while Trump tweets and chips away at the dignity of the office of the President of the United States. You would never accuse someone on the right of being clouded because of the
  6. Trump said that the relief efforts have "gotten good marks". Not even sure what that means but, Trump.... On the other hand, hospitals don't have power, water and food is running out. People don't have access to gas or ATM machines for cash and it's been a week. People are literally starting to die in Puerto Rico due to lack of action and Trump is more worried about NFL players. This guy deserves every amount of hate he gets.
  7. Stonewall, if I'm not mistaken you have openly admitted to using the n-word and you claim you're friends with the racist restaurant owner here in Paulding. Instead of asking us white folks about equal rights, why not ask some black folks about their reality and point of view? You'll get a much better answer. Presumption of innocence is one answer to your question.
  8. That time our president publicly disrespected an actual war hero and every other POW. https://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/07/19/us/politics/trump-belittles-mccains-war-record.html
  9. Kaepernick took a knee. He didn't shoot anybody, he didn't beat his girlfriend, he didn't fight dogs. He took a knee. He has been blackballed and he's literally been doing charity work ever since and it's still not good enough. I kind of think that it's not at all about taking a knee that makes people so upset, I think it might be something else... Kaepernick, who remains an unrestricted free agent, made a $100,000 donation on the first day of the season. In doing so, $25,000 each is going to four charities (DREAM which provides after-school programs and youth sports in the New York inner-
  10. Many do! It's just not widely reported on. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/08/colin-kaepernick-nfl-national-anthem-protest-one-million-dollar-pledge-donations-empower-communities
  11. Politics in sports is not new and the NFL didn't require players to be on the field during the national anthem until 2009. http://www.npr.org/2017/09/25/553478047/trump-the-nfl-and-the-powder-keg-history-of-race-sports-and-politics I can't help but imagine what America would be like if people who are so upset over a peaceful protest were as upset about actual injustice.
  12. Well he doesn't have a 39% approval rating for no reason.
  13. There is no handbook as to how black people should feel about anything. Lol. We are all individuals. My point is that I listen to what my black friends say. I agree with them and I stand (and kneel) with them.
  14. No. I'm listening to the life experience of my black friends. Politics aside.
  15. I'm making it worse by condemning a race and trying to start a race war? Lol. No. What I'm doing is listening to my black friends and using critical thinking. People aren't kneeling for no reason. I'm sure Dr.King would have a lot to say about what's going on today and I doubt he would be condemning a peaceful protest over Injustice in the black community. The world is more capable of spreading love when everyone feels loved and understood. As a person who has studied slavery for at least 15 years, this isn't all true.
  16. See, it's comments like this that are so dismissive. At the end of the day who gives a crap who started it? Slavery was wrong and horrific. Perhaps if more people took the time to learn about that part of American History they might be a little more empathetic and understaning to what's going on today. I really think some southerners have been done a disservice with the white washing of history in the south.
  17. There were not multiple guilty parties. Trump has taken a harsher stance on people taking a knee than he has on white supremacy. So have many others. He literally wavered back and forth with his condemnation for days. I'm seriously sick and tired of people not even trying to understand what's really going on here. You love to claim that people speaking out is somehow making race relations worse. No, the willfully ignorant and partisan faux Patriots are making it worse. Wake up.
  18. Not really ironic at all. People who serve our country are fighting for our freedoms which includes the freedom to a peaceful protest. Nobody has to like it or agree with it but they must respect the right if they truly respect what America is all about. Our disgrace in chief has done more dividing with his childish Tantrums and white supremacist sympathizing than Kaepernick or anyone else taking a knee on a field could ever do. Trump asked for this and I couldn't be happier. It was a wonderful sight seeing all those football players arm in arm supporting each other and basically telling t
