  1. Same here with the stories and situations. Sometimes I even wake up and then go back to sleep to the same dream. I have heard that's unusual but I do it all the time. My nightmares, although rare, often consist of me trying to get help but I'm unable to. For instance, I'm trying to dial a phone but my fingers won't let me complete the dial or I can't find a door to escape ect... Craziness. I have had lots of dreams where I was falling, mostly when I was a kid. I have never had a dream where I was flying, and I'm glad. I'm terrified of heights.
  2. Or, it could be something. Looks like we'll never know.
  3. Aww, thanks. I love food, talking about food, sharing food. Sometimes I think I should start my own blog. That's actually a really good idea, making the cube steak without the bread. I might actually switch it up and do that tonight.
  4. Pioneer woman's Marlboro Man sandwiches, and fries.
  5. My teenager just informed me that she can't go to school because it snowed. She says it's a tradition for her to stay home when it snows. I told her it hasn't snowed enough in her life time to establish any traditions concerning snow. Good try though.
  6. I never said that everyone who disagrees with Obama's policies wishes for the economy to fail. I don't think that at all. I believe some do, but certainly not the majority.
  7. It's been a great year so far... ::knockingonwood::
  8. Which part is BS? I assure you I have absolutely no political agenda what so ever and I'm not a liar. When I say that people put their party before their country, I'm saying that about both sides, and I really do feel that way. don't just assume I'm bashing conservatives. I'm not. I agree with you that both parties suck. I think there is hardly a person in Washington with an R or D by their name that actually gives a flying flip about us. As a business owner, I don't see it as all Unicorns and rainbows, but things are going pretty well, I'm definitely not all doom and gloom.
  9. I wish I could remember what thread it was, but it has been openly admitted by at least one person on this board that they do want the economy to fail under Obama. Some people put their party before their country and it's truly sad. That's why our country is so divided.
  10. Yay! Glad you liked it. How nice of you to let me know.
  11. Well let's hope they don't repent, because if there is such thing as a heaven, I don't want to be sharing space with that guy.
  12. My apologies to Crossroads for the hijack. I seriously have no idea! I almost never bake, perhaps someone else knows?
  13. Well, I am no baker. I was surprised it turned out as well as it did. it seems pretty foolproof. I would think that would be fine. Maybe let them thaw out first. I'm thinking if they thaw out during the cooking process it might add a little too much moisture.
  14. Strawberry Cream Cheese Cobbler Start to finish: 10 minutes prep; 45 to 50 minutes bake Yield: 10 servings •1 stick (1/2 cup) butter •1 egg, lightly beaten •1 cup milk •1 cup all-purpose flour •1 cup sugar •2 teaspoons baking powder •1/2 teaspoon salt • 2 quarts whole strawberries, capped and washed • 4 ounces cream cheese, cut in small pieces Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 15. Sounds like you're looking for a cobbler handout. That's not very conservative of you. I kid. How about if I post the recipe, you know, the whole teach a man to fish thing. I've made three cobblers in the past day and a half. I'm all cobblered out.
  16. Great. Couldn't you have waited until after my 6,000th post to make this suggestion? Now when I go to celebrate everyone will shun me...
  17. I brought my friend a homemade strawberry cobbler yesterday. She is suffering with fertility issues and has been feeling down lately. Recently my dad told me that he makes it a point to make a stranger smile every day. I thought that was so sweet. I have the best dad.
  18. By the time I got there, the bell tower kids had migrated to the outside cafeteria wall. So technically, I was a "wall" kid.
  19. When I was in high school I wore a lot of black, I had funky hair, combat boots, the whole nine yards. I will never forget being asked one day by a girl if I was a devil worshiper. I was offended. My daughter has been asked the same because of her style and frankly, I don't like it. At my DD's 8th grade conference her social studies teacher told me what a wonderful student my child is, she told me that she, on purpose sits the trouble makers next to my child because my child has a positive way about her that seems to affect those around her for the better. What an amazing compliment that wa
