Higher prices? Sure. How can ace, which is in fact a small business, compete with a huge corp with the kind of buying power they have? It can't be done. But I think that most of you are missing the bigger issue here... Lost jobs and more empty, worthless space. Let's play pretend for a minute. Imagine you are told that your job of however long is about to be gone, and that you will soon begin liquidating your inventory... and after X amount of time, you are done and it is over. Now imagine coming home and telling your spouse... your kids... that very soon things

I think it totally sucks that ace is closing. I know that it's an individually owned franchise store, and that there are franchise fees, advertising fees and 99% of the merchandise is bought through ace corp. and the prices are set with a small margin to "play" with. There are some good people there, and I hate this for them.

Sometimes it takes years to realize what time in service has done... what it has taken from you. How certain experiences have skewed how you view other things, everyday things... And there is no fix. And there is no sympathy for others who got a raw deal, because we all signed the line and got no promises for it.
