  1. Doing the logistics, you need to know the basic FMCR's and book accordingly. Familiarize yourself with what trailers they haul with and know the dimensions and load requirement for the jobs you book. Also, ask your drivers re: jobs to certain areas, toll roads, excessive weigh/inspections stop areas to work around, etc. Good luck!
  2. Run Forrest RUN! Seriously. There is alot to be learned. Logistics entails more than finding loads to haul from Point A to B. Federal Regs. must be adhered to. You cannot promise a delivery that would take your driver over on his hours. DO YOUR FOLKS KNOW WHAT THE FMCR are? They need to eat/breathe/live it! They have have to ensure the load meets the specs for the trailer your driver is hauling. i.e. side load vs. top load vs. straight trailer, refer. etc. You can't book a load your driver cannot haul when he gets there. 10. They are correct when they say most everyone there speaks english. They have 6 years of English in their core cirriculum. When I lived there I had the opportunity to visit the Rijksmuseum. Several wonderful exhibits. Rijksmuseum I would say go to Keukenhof, but sadly, they are closed for the season. You can still order bulbs and have them shipped home for a very reasonable price. You'll appreciate the bulbs come spring bloom. Keukenhof Take the canal tours. Visit the Heinekin factory and do "the Heinekin Experience". HEINEKIN I loved living there!!!! Enjoy yourself!
