  1. OK, it may be RTN. RetroTelevision Network. It is channel 2.2. They show a lot of stuff from the 1970s and on Friday night they have high school football (which is what hubby is watching right now).
  2. OK, call me nuts (it's happened before) but now that we have RTV I just LOVE to watch "Streets of Laredo". I have fallen for William Smith who played Joe. Hubba, hubba! Then AND now. He is one guy who has gotten better with age.
  3. I'll have you to know, there are a FEW of us hot grannies out there. OK, maybe her and not me.
  4. Normally, I would NOT vote for anyone who bombarded me with phone calls. However, this time I will be voting for one of them simply because I want his opponent out of office. I guess that is one of the hazards of knowing the person in office.
  5. My hubby has never said so, but I'm quite sure he really liked her in "Smokey and the Bandit". He gets this "look" when her Boniva commercial comes on.
  6. Ugh!! Same here. Remember it very well. In fact, my mom told me many, many times that my very first favorite on TV was Fred Allen. I have NO memory of that but she said I would sit and watch him every week and I must have been all of two. MAYBE. I loved Peter Graves on Mission Impossible. He was by far and away my favorite on there. I always did like the older guys, though.
  7. True. I forgot about that. He got back into baseball and I forgot all about the prison time. I saw his debut with the Braves. For probably 5 minutes, over 52,000 people were on their feet applauding him as he walked to the mound. It was beautiful! Most moving game I ever attended. And those were the days when the Braves couldn't get 5200 people at the games!
  8. Nope, you're thinking of Pete Rose, not Johnny Bench. I don't think Johnny ever did any time unless you count the first marriage.
  9. I absolutely LOVED Johnny Bench. Joe Namath I could take or leave. I was a rabid baseball fan during high school and wanted to be a sportscaster. Of course that was BEFORE the first female sportscaster.
  10. My main teenage crushes were not on actors. My BIGGEST teenage crush was on Johnny Bench, catcher for the Big Red Machine (Cincinnati Reds 1970s). I had a poster of him on my wall. In fact, I had three posters on my walls. The one of Johnny Bench, one of a baseball pitcher by the name of Denny McLain and one of.......a Big Mac. Seriously!
  11. I remember him in "Spencer's Mountain". Here is a link to his acting credits and a bio (updated yesterday): http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0531279/
  12. I am REALLY dating myself here with this one. Burt Reynolds when he was on "Gunsmoke". He was one hot guy back then. He is one star who hasn't gotten better with age. I also loved westerns and watched just about all of them. On "Lancer" I couldn't decide between Wayne Maunder and James Stacy. On "The Virginian" I just Clu Gulager. And some of the guest stars were among my favorites, too. But it was difficult to beat Randolph Mantooth on "Emergency". I STILL watch that show when hubby lets me. Oh heck yeah! Makes me want to go buy a truck when I hear the commercial he d
  13. You got that right!! Can't think of anyone I still think is adorable at the age of 59, other than my hubby, I guess.
  14. Same here, except Kurt Russell came first.
  15. He was my absolute favorite on the show. Never saw him in anything that I didn't like. And I'm with Sugail, knowing he was 72 makes me feel OLD.
  16. Anyone else getting them from 000-000-0000 with "name unavailable" showing up on CID? There is NEVER anyone on the other end. Never!
  17. That CAN cause problems with certain viruses. It imbeds them deeper into the hard drive. I found out this the hard way, too. FB is just so darned unstable at times! But knock on wood, it seems to be fine today.
  18. I wouldn't even have to navigate between screens to get that! It was so frustrating. I went to chat with a friend and we had to switch to Messenger because we BOTH had problems with FB last night. No clue how to stop it. Wish I knew because I'd sure as heck do it.
  19. I had that problem yesterday. I wish I could remember exactly what I did to change it. I THINK I just went back to the message and re-read it. Maybe marked it as read???
  20. I'll have candy for the three or four trick or treaters I am sure I'll have on Saturday. I doubt I'll have any on Sunday anyway. Three of them are active in their church so I'm sure they won't come on Sunday and the other one has to get up early to go to daycare since his mom works. If it weren't for those four kids, I would have candy on Sunday ONLY!
  21. Anyone ever use one of those home test kits for A1C? I was wondering how they worked and if they seem to be accurate. My A1C wasn't checked at my last doctor visit and I don't want to have to go back just to have that done. Neither my PCP nor my hematologist are concerned about it, the reason it wasn't tested last time, but I would like to know.
  22. I doubt you need last year's assessment but definitely you will need the appraisal. We just took our closing statement that time in Douglas County. The second time, for a house in Austell, we took pictures and the offer we had received. We "won" both of those. The other time we were totally unprepared and had nothing to show how the assessment was too high.
  23. I would definitely go ahead and contact them since you're wanting to reduce next year's assessment and not this years. And yes, use that appraisal you had done. The chances of getting it reduced is very good since you have excellent documentation of value. Should they not reduce it, file an appeal as soon as you get next year's assessment (sometime in the summer). I've been to the Board of Equalization three times and have won twice, so it's not that difficult to win if you have "proof" that the assessment was too high. The first time we won, we had just purchased the property earlie
  24. Holidays haven't been a big deal for us in about 10 years. I've cooked Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for us and our youngest and her family only to have them show up late, or have her and the baby show up but not the hubby. So, last year I cooked a very small dinner for just the two of us on Thanksgiving and we went out on Christmas. So, I guess the answer to your question is, we will be serving whatever IHOP serves since they are generally the only place other than Waffle House open on either holiday. Odds are if we went to Waffle House our son in law would have some part in o
