  1. The back pain is one reason we don't make a lot of plans in advance. We never know when there will be a flare up. We will enjoy the day whatever we do, because we will be together.
  2. Thanks LPPT. I'll tell him you wished us a happy anniversary. BTW, he asks about you often. And about Pubby.
  3. You said almost exactly the same thing that my daughter said. It happened to her, too. CS, tell your kid I said hello and don't be a stranger.
  4. Since hubby woke up to extreme back pain this morning and is planning to take it easy, looks like we will just go out to eat lunch instead of going out this evening. And it looks like Chinese instead of steak. We don't care as much about where we eat as long as we are together on our anniversary. For about 20 years, he was only home for maybe 2 of those anniversaries due to his job. Happy Anniversary to my sweet hubby.
  5. Don't plant them permanently until at least the middle of April. We always had the best luck with Fourth of July, but they generally can only be found at Burpee. We always grow ours from seed.
  6. Certainly he has a right to be there if he's visiting friends or family in the area. However, that does not answer the question of WHY he was there at 7 p.m. on a school night when this "good kid" attended school in Miami, a four hour drive away. Most parents who have weekend visitation with their kids have to have them home at a reasonable time, especially on a school night. In fact, ours had to be home by about 6 p.m. on Sunday if Monday was a school day. I have several friends who have weekend visitations with their kids and THEY have to be home at a reasonable hour. Living 4 hours awa
  7. I have a faulty one but still only have 46. And if anyone questions whether or not I'm a conservative, just ask Pubby. He will vouch for me. Wait, he claims I'm a Republican, so take his view with a grain of salt. He's only half right about me.
  8. Is that a Colt? I have one that is somewhat similar. Mine has a longer barrel. Can't help on where to take it to have it appraised, though. Cool revolver!
  9. I seem to recall hearing a story on the news back several months ago where people in an Atlanta gated community were upset because the police and other emergency personnel weren't able to get in because of the gate. Good point.
  10. I prefer Sal's. Don't get to Dallas much to eat, though. On the rare occasions I do go to Dallas to eat it's usually Ruby Tuesday or La Cocina and it's for business.
  11. Most of the time I'm happy I'm not related to anyone in Paulding. Even though I do have "branch kin" who live in Paulding, I wouldn't know them if I bumped into them at Walmart.
  12. It's been so long since I had a Papa John's pizza I don't know what they taste like now. I bet I haven't had one in five years.
  13. Really? I'm not related to anyone in Paulding County.
  14. The 17 minutes is the time between the first dispatch of the call and the time the EMT pronounced Trayvon dead. In the intervening 17 minutes, he had been shot, the first officers had arrived, started CPR and then the paramedics arrived, continuging CPR. If you'd read the report, you would know this.
  15. Really? 17 minutes between dispatch and the time the EMTs pronounced Trayvon dead? That's a crappy response time? You obviously haven't lived in Paulding since the days of all volunteer fire departments and the only ambulance service being Clark and their one ambulance. Heck, I live in Cobb and it's a good 17 minutes for the police to get here, if they are hauling ass and don't get caught by a train. Years ago, we had a fire at our house. Oldest daughter called the fire department while middle daughter and I along with some neighbor kids put the fire out. I THEN came in, called the f
  16. I should have known better. Thinking now the best course of action is to order a Papa John's pizza. And have
  17. I agree. I would not be confrontational. I would however, run like hell.
  18. Gotta wipe tea off my monitor after reading that. But you are soooooooooooo right.
  19. It doesn't bother me, so don't let it bother you. I'm trying to get to Florida just as quickly as I can. Seriously.
  20. :clapping: :clapping: I have reading skills. I can read police reports and other reports about an issue and make up my own mind. Maybe because I don't listen to NPR or Fox News all day. And reports are that he was NOT following him. BTW, it's riddance not riddens. But Zimmerman was not in Trayvon's back yard. I think it was the other way around.
  21. Really? The police report says otherwise. Gave Trayvon's height as 6 feet and weight of 160. It also states that he had at least 3 inches of height on Zimmerman. You can also note that the police report was completed only 7 hours (and maybe a few minutes) after the incident. It also lists SIX witnesses.
  22. Kinda hard to look for a fight with a 6 ft 2 inch 17 year old kid on top of you beating the tar out of you.
  23. So, do I understand correctly and we should all just roll over and give up if we feel threatened because we might be accused of being racist? When did standing up for YOURSELF become a crime? God I can't wait to move to Florida! At least there, I have a prayer that I won't be prosecuted should the unfortunate event come that I am attacked and I defend myself.
