In a lot of ways, I agree with this. However, when you see the bill for something if you have insurance and then see the bill if you don't, you know but the INSURED person has been paying more. Case in point. I have a family history of breast cancer, so it's imperative that I have a yearly mammogram. My health insurance cancelled me in October 2011 but I still needed to get that mammogram in December. In 2007 MY portion of the mammogram charge at Paulding was $184. In 2008, it was $239. I don't remember about 2009 or 2010. That was WITH insurance that covered it. In December 2011

~What was your senior prank in high school?~

 A lot of the members of my class thought the same thing about me. I was NOT exactly outgoing. -
Hugs to you my friend.

Wills in Smyrna? -
Doubtful that would pass emissions.

Yep. That's the price.

LOL. We bought almost the same things! The most expensive thing I bought was the coffee. It was $5.99. Kroger store brand is usually around $7. I personally like the Folger's Black Silk but it runs close to $12 now. Since it's rare I drink coffee but my hubby drinks it almost every day, I can't afford the Black Silk. He says to him there is little difference in brands.

We had a courtyard area at my school. It was called the Senior Cage. You could only go in there if you were a senior or if you were part of a class project, like art class painting the windows for Christmas. I don't remember exactly what our prank was but it had to do with the benches and other items in the Cage. And probably something to do with the windows. It's been a lllllllooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg time since I was a senior. Quite often someone from my school, or the rival Osborne, would go to Cobb Center and pour soap into the fountain outside Rich's. -
The ones I got on Thursday were awesome! I didn't buy any today because they didn't look as good. Still looked good but not as good as they were opening day.

I'll have to dig out some Kroger receipts to check to make certain about a few things, but I do KNOW for a fact that their yogurt is about half of what Kroger has it for. I think the butter was also about 1/3 less than Kroger's butter. The sweet and salty granola bars were about $1.29 or so. Kroger's store brand ON SALE are about $1.99. And the granola bars were great!

Since I am most familiar with the panhandle, I consider everything below Steinhatchee SOUTH Florida. I definitely consider Orlando to be south Florida.

I know in my situation, the insurance company has always been the big winner because I have had little in the way of health care costs. I am on no medications (and yes, I'm 57 but I'm not diabetic, hypertensive or have high cholesterol). I did have foot surgery a few years ago and in that ONE situation, I came out the winner money-wise. Well, except for the fact that because I didn't have health insurance 16 years earlier than the foot surgery, an unhealed fracture went untreated. For 16 years. Otherwise, the insurance companies make a fortune off me due to my demographics--over 50, overw

I went around noon today and it wasn't bad. I was able to look around the store at leisure. Can't answer the question about the milk price though.

Actually, with private plans, maternity coverage has to be purchased as an option. It is not included as part of the health care package. Not all insurance plans pay for birth control. I was shocked when my daughter and my next door neighbor's daughter went to the same doctor to get their birth control pills but my daughter's were covered under our insurance (as were mine) but my neighbor's daughters pills were NOT covered. We both had Aetna but they were different plans. I have an objection to being forced to buy health care coverage. I have it, finally again, but I dislike strongl

If birth control, hormonal birth control, were widely available and not frowned upon as being "evil", the pregnancy rate would go down. People are not going to stop having sex. PERIOD. End of discussion. The best option is to teach, preach, teach, preach and then teach and preach some more SAFE SEX. Having the option to terminate the pregnancy has little impact on sexual activity. There are many women who still have no clue about HOW you get pregnant, especially teens. If uptight, self-righteous adults would start putting the kids first and teach sex education (abstinence as well as saf

this thread is bringing back memories of my mom and her fervent belief that she only got sick from produce that **I** bought at Winn Dixie and not from produce that my sister bought at Ingles. Or Kroger. Or Publix. Or the farmer's market. Or Harrys. Or Life Grocery. She COULD tell a difference. Then one day I bought the same identical item (cabbage) from Ingles and told her it came from Ingles (since she could eat cabbage my sister bought there). She got sick anyway. Called me up and ranted and raved and screamed at me that I was trying to KILL her! I never was able to convince h

First of all, hugs to you LPPT for having to go through this. I'll be sure to get or give an extra bewbie hug the next time I see you. Secondly, you asked if you put emotions and feelings first. No, IMO, you do not. Those are subjective. When you make difficult decisions you need to put facts first. Emotions and feelings and personal opinion are just those--emotions, feelings and personal opinions. Go with the facts and let the chips fall where they may. As some of my favorite song lyrics say, you have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything. And it's the first part of t

Ain't THAT the truth!! Me and you both.

I'm betting you'll look great at 72, without plastic surgery!

I bet my nephew still has a Raquel Welch poster in his room. He had a thing for her when he was 10! I expect he still has a thing for her now at 56.

I haven't tried it but will put it on the short list of things to avoid. I had that same feeling about Freschetta pizza. My daughter and SIL said not to buy the tacos.

Here's a synopsis of the bill: http://www.legis.ga.gov/Legislation/20112012/123634.pdf

where in the bill does it say that? And often babies born at 21 weeks DO survive, especially these days. My grandsons were born at 24-25 weeks. How in the HE** can one FORCE a woman to have surgery against her will????? Or force anyone, for that matter? More money the state will waste in court costs defending another stupid unconstitutional law.

there is a H-U-G-E difference between performing a pregnancy termination and CARING for a pregnancy greater than 20 weeks.
-
Postman, you need to get your facts straight. It does NOT threaten to put a doctor in jail for CARING for a pregnancy with complications after 20 weeks of gestational age.
