  7. We did the hill sliding thing years ago. Hubby and I got on a plastic tarp... bad idea. We went so FAST!!! Then we hit the mailbox, well I hit the mailbox full on. Felt like I shattered my leg but I wouldn't let anyone take me into the house- we had just eaten breakfast and plates were everywhere!! To this day- I have a small dent in my lower right leg. But hey- once the pain was gone- I did it again and again!!!
  8. Yeah, LPPT it is. The FT just left. They started to come down my hill then decided to just back up the street... no go. Then the FT SLID down into the cul de sac and the driver did an AWESOME job of turning around in it and getting back up the hill. Proud of him!! If that big and HEAVY truck had a hard time- the roads are very bad. If ya gotta be out today- please be careful.

  13. I was in the 3rd grade and we lived on Campbell Rd. in Smyrna. My Dad was a hunter and we camped alot as a family. This was our saving grace, as we had a camp stove, lanterns and such to help get though the next 2 weeks. Daddy was the only one who could get out and when people needed stuff from what ever gas station was open- Daddy got lists for our neighbors and got food for them. I have pics somewhere... The one in 82 was so sudden... Mama usually took 30 mins to get home from work and that day it took her like 8 HOURS!!Her carpool had bad heat and she was soooo cold when she final
  14. I am so over this cold crap. Put layers of clothes on and take your hineys to school/work. Yes, I am from the South and we went when it was 23 freaking degrees outside. We were not let out early because we "might" have snow. Put on your big girl panties and deal with it, people!

  23. I have never agreed with piercing an infants ears. Kat waited til she was 12. I wanted her to wait til he was 13 but she BEGGED for almost a year for them, so I finally caved. Piercing a baby's ears is just silly.
