This goes before the commissioners to vote on this morning. Why would the county waste time and money (if it passes) to rename a park? If they have the money to rename, couldn't the monies be spent elsewhere? Or, is the county budget doing so well, we can afford to do this? Are they (commissioners) low on things to vote on and take care of? Just asking.

I have a question RR...on the bracket, Clarke Central is on the bottom... Normally, the bottom team is the 'home' team. Why is the bracket bass-akwards? Asking because stupid crap like this ticks me off.

Not bad at all! Yes, they hired NUMEROUS people last year at almost half the pay of the oldtimers...because they wanted 36 C130's a year from the line..now they are back to 12 a year. They layoff based on seniority. So all the new hires are laid off first.

IDK about the dates you listed, but we have been thru layoffs from 80 to 82 and again 94 to 01...called back in 01 to current. No attacks on me, just stating what WE went through in our household...and probably getting ready to go through again. Carry on!

Marietta plant started layoffs back in Sept.(1500) with another 2000 by the end of the year.
