  1. I do a fair amount of business with Tech and I owe a little of my education to Tech, even though I am not a GT grad. I loved UGA football when Munson did the play by play. I spent many fall afternoons on the lake bass fishing and listening to the Dawgs. These days I hardly ever watch an entire game. I am usually on the lake on Saturdays.
  2. Really? Then hop your happy ass over here and tell them to get this damn highway off my family's property! IT IS FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTY AS A WHOLE. You might want to spend some time checking out Ol' Todd before you get completely sold out on him. If all this stuff was going on under his nose for over a year and he wasn't aware of it, he is either dumb as hell, a liar or not doing his job. Neither of the three virtues would get my vote. Just saying.
  3. They aren't your employee. They were elected to do what they think best serves the county as a whole. It appears they have done that.
  4. I'm not in Post 2. And I have to wonder about Todd's incentive. I do believe he is playing dumb. I have thought a lot of Todd ever since the day he drew Shearin into a fight. You remember the day Jerry said he got a letter saying someone wished he had been on the airplane....sob..sob. I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and see what the true story is before they start calling good men crooks and thieves. If indeed it is discovered that they are crooks and thieves you can bet that I will be their worst enemy. But this story just isn't adding up. And I sure hope Todd isn't
  5. I have been keeping my head down on this but enough is enough. We have the best group of men on the Board of Commissioners right now that we have had in my 30 years of living in Paulding County. I have a story to relate: I was a young, green project manager working for an older gentleman in the construction business quite a few years ago. I realized I had made a mistake that was going to set us back a few weeks on our schedule and I dreaded calling and telling my boss. Finally I figured WTH, he is going to fire me when he hears this, so I called him and confessed. I have never forgo
  6. That's okay. I gave him a (-) just because I could.
  7. I have heard some highly educated people say that. The one that drives me nuts is masonAry. There is only one "A" is masonry.
  8. Exspecially seems to be the word of choice for bastardizing of late.
  9. I usually pull for the home team whether it is UGA or GT unless they have really played crappy all day and are about to luck out (such as the UGA / Vols game). Just once I would like to see a Richt-coached team dominate a game from opening kickoff to the final buzzer. They ALWAYS start playing at the other team's level. That is the mark of a non-aggressive coach. Same reason he has players locked up nearly every off season. I am not a Richt fan.
  10. I would think the "L" would be silent in this part of the world. KOT-un
  11. My former business partner said that in a meeting with one our largest clients once. I wanted to crawl under the table. But he WAS from Dawsonville. He also would say "that's plum pathetical."
  12. I just don't take it as serious as you. What year did you graduate from UGA?
  13. I love different dialects and have no problem with the emphasis being on a different syllable. But to just be ignorant as to what the word is or to just say it ignorant because of your heritage, makes you seem, well, ignorant.
  14. I prefer my scotch in the single malt variety from Islay.
  15. My old fishing buddy says Illinoise (there is an Illinois Creek at Lake Allatoona). But then he also call Big Nose Creek "Big Noles Creek." I dunno. My High School English teacher said it is pronounced Ill - i - noy, there is only one of them.
  16. Sooooo............................... If MIZZOU beat UGA and then other teams beat MIZZOU would that not mean that UGA was even sorrier than the teams that beat MIZZOU? BTW, for you UGA grads, the answer is YES.
  17. Yeah. They stopped using bullets to bite on dang near 20 years ago. Ain't medicine wonderful? I had a metal sliver picked out of my pupil with a hypodermic needle once. Talk about pinching nail heads off. BTW, my 77 year old fishing buddy had this surgery a couple of years ago. His only regret was that he put it off as long as he did. I was glad he got it done too. He had gotten to where he was running red lights and stopping for green lights. I would just close my eyes and grit my teeth.
  18. You seem to be an intelligent person. Why on earth would you get on a motorcycle knowing there are idiots driving vehicles that could smush you like a bug?
  19. We could use a man like Earl Lee again. This POS never would have made it to the jail.
  20. My ex-brother-in-law and I used to go to Braves games and for some reason we would sit in the outfield behind Felipe Alou. I guess we were Felipe's fan club.
  21. Here's one with the DigiQ all wired up and ready to go. And the Egg table (aka: altar) is built.
  22. Isn't that Rod Gilbreath in the background?
  23. I know they ate a lot of meat for a small town sheriff's family. I figure Aunt Bea was doing a little swapping with the town butcher.
  24. I think I want to be the Indian's John Lewis. From what I can tell, all I need to do is mumble some incoherent bullcheeze and watch the mailbox for my BIG government check every month.
  25. You can get away with saying that because most Indians don't have a chip on their shoulder like some other "minorities" we know. But we don't have our own museum being built downtown either. Maybe we need to start pissing and moaning about how bad we were treated and make you sorry honkies pay us for the way you did our ancestors.
