Do People Try To Change You To Their Liking
subby1 replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Wow! I did not know that. Sorry you had to endure that. My father was FIRM, but never mistreated me or my brother. It's great to see you turned out to be a fine gentleman after knowing that. I've seen too many young men grow into the same thing their dad's were. It's apparent that you broke away from that, and saved yourself, and became the man you are today. -
If you got a ticket for it, then I would think it's again da law! Naughty girl!!!

I just finished up a nice black Murray Select riding mower. As all of my resales, the mower has been gone through, sharpened and balanced blades, clean fuel system, filter, full lubrication including oil change, rebuilt brake caliper, new battery & solenoid, and new drive belt and clutch pulley. Runs great! 42" cutting deck. There is some external rust on the deck, but after doing the blades and cleaning underneath, the rust is not a problem....only superficial. All moving parts have been cleaned and lubed. It's a really nice riding mower for the money! Headlights have been removed. Ca

I just thought it was about time to thank those of you who use me for your mower repairs. I've netted a few "regulars" and they are awesome people. My life is richer from not only doing business with them but getting to know them on a personal level. There are a lot of very fine people in this county, and those whom I have met over the past 3 or so years in the mower business have been really wonderful folks to me. I just wanted to say thanks!!

Me neither. But I do like my MP3 player loaded up and plugged into a loud stereo receiver!

I'm as south as D'ville, so Carrol-Town is the closest place for me....or certainly the quickest.

that's right. And it doesn't take a rocket scientist to foretell the outcome!!! Yet, this went virtually unabated, politically locked into place, and deregulated to the point of self-destruction. It BLEW!!!! Big time. You got that right!....it's killing me seeing this, and knowing so many who are going through it, and have already lost out.

I would agree. And in spite of what people "say" about digital this and digital that, true analog is a different animal. All digital does, is break audio down into "steps". So, the more steps you have in a certain time frame, the better the "digital copy" is. So, digital music is still nowhere what analog, namely vinyls, are. A good ear can still tell the difference, although they get closer and closer as technology flourishes. To win, all you need to do is get the steps tight enough to reach the human ear's range. I digress...the point was merely agreeing with you about real vinyl records

You are right. I wish I had the ability to say it with as few words as you just did! I just T2DM~~ It was just all too apparent to some of us, nonetheless. I guess my point was the disgust I felt about lenders offering so much for so little in return. So it's either (1) they knew what this meant when they done it, or (2) they were not very bright, having no full knowledge of what no. 1 would lead to, or (3), they knew full well, and decided to line their pockets before everyone else figured it out. On some lender's behalf, I would go with no. 2, as a lot of them were trained in a sho

Love them both, but Gilligan's Isle was my all time favorite!!! I can remember when my mom made me take piano lessons every Tuesday, then they moved Gilligan to that time frame.....OMG!!! I was devastated!!!! I had to have my weekly serving of Ginger and Mary-Ann!!!

I stuck to the rule I was always taught- that one week's pay should be equal to your monthly mortgage. A lot of people I know stretched that number into about 2 week's pay. Not a good idea. I can't place all the blame on the home owners though, because when I bought my FIRST house, about 18 years ago, I was not pressured into buying more than anything based on that one week's pay. I noticed that after I sold my home of 10 years in Marietta to find one in Paulding, there were a LOT of real estate agents trying to get me to buy a house that was closer to TWO weeks pay. With enough pressure like

Bugs and Road Runner were still always my favorite.

No. Most people didn't think along those lines when the show was a hit. That was probably the best show on the planet in its day. And not to be a prude- on the remake of a Very Brady Sequel, I still laugh until my sides hurt when the two oldest share a room in the attic. But, that's two different worlds. I don't care much for mixing them.

I just hate to hear these stories. A lot of my customers are Paulding Co. popo's. I don't know what it is about this place, but domestic disputes like this are far too common. I hear stories from my police friends saying how they wanted to be a cop and not a baby-sitter. That's just sad! I'm sorry to come off this way, but it's a fact, and while there are REAL crimes going on in our county, it's a pity that most of our deputies have to play baby-sitter with grown up people, who should know better, when they could be doing what they signed up for- being a cop, and stopping the bad guys.

Ah crap...I remember watching that often. I am SO OLD!!!!

I don't know about the avatar, but I do know one thing- seems most couples want (or hope) to change one another. This is an exercise in futility. I say be who you are, because when the cards all fall down, it's only YOU who has to answer for yourself. Be who you are as long as it's who you are....and make sure you're happy with who you are, most of all. If YOU are not happy with who you are, only THEN would I suggest trying to change yourself. Ya can't please everyone, so I always say to try to please yourself first. Once you're happy with you, then you can move on to others. People have -
I can't tell you how many nights I've longed for sleep, but just tossed and turned about that very question! (sorry....I was being an ass).

Sort of depends on where you are located....I gave up on the pay lakes around here, because I do SO MUCH better in the creeks near by. Since I am unwilling to give up my "honey-holes" here on the open forum, you could always PM me and I'll clue you in. But there are some GREAT places to fish around here, in south Paulding....just gotta know where. I went fishing on Friday and Sunday, and I lost count of how many I caught.

Not sure...but if that's Chuck, then he wouldn't quite on top of it here! I only say that because this guy aint doing the arpeggio parts like Chuck did...although, if you listen close, Chuck botched a couple of parts, just like he did with the Black Crow's on Jealous Again. He's a busy man!!!! No time to lay the track down more than once!
-
Dang!!! Too bad it doesn't show Chuck Levell doing his thing!

This should bring back some memories of the 80's!!!

You'll need your "trippin" hat for this one!!!
