  1. My main computer is beginning its initial stages of a total meltdown. Luckily, I got a GREAT deal on my shop comp from Cedarcrest comps, so most of my stuff was backed up on my shop comp. Now I have a full night of trying to salvage what's left before I go "inside" the poor old girl and try to get her breathing again. Just wanted to send out a thank you to the fellow who set me up with a nice shop computer. You saved my @$$!!! And, I really appreciate it a lot. I'm running all the backups I possibly can, before my main comp finally bites the dust. I'm just thankful that I have enough
  2. Give it hell, brother!
  3. Any siding that cannot be easily removed for inspection, sucks. The best siding I know of (and I filed many lawsuits against the crappy ones, during my stretch as a siding claims manager) Hardy-Board, or Hardy-Plank....that's what to go with! It's expensive, but it lasts for generations.
  4. From what I hear, you aint so bad yourself, there, Mr. Sanders!!
  5. Ok...just keep rubbing it in, will ya??? Hey...I sweat it from day to day now, but I lost 40 lbs, eat half as much, and feel about 10 years younger!!.....okay...let's say 5 years. Wait....bad math..I went from 235 to 160 lbs....so what's that =? Holy Moley....75 lbs!!! (Yes, I have to use a calculator)
  6. 1. You have a job.....GREAT thing for few people 2. Be HAPPY about being bored, as long you as have said job! You're still getting paid, right? and for the record....I have what some might call a job. As a sole proprietor trying to get off the ground, I find the meaning of "job" a lot different than when I just showed up on time, did my thing and got paid very well for it...in an AC cooled office, with a beautiful desk and two conference chairs to go with the table that sat aside my main office area. Nothing towards you, Gleemp.....you know I luv ya man....but you brought up a point
  7. Thank you so much for the business, but most of all...I am HAPPY that YOU are happy...although your kids may not be, since they have to do yard work again! It was a pleasure to serve you. (I'll toss those other blades in my truck and when I leave out, I'll drop them off on your door step so you can return them). I'm going into town tomorrow, so I'll drop them off on my way out.
  8. I never download anything that says "Urgent", no matter where it says it came from. When in doubt, you simply go to the official MS site and run the scan. If nothing comes up, then there ya go. BTW, the version 5 of FF is still working really well. It's faster, uses less resources, streams better, etc. Seems that 5 coming out so quickly was a quick fix for vers. 4.
  9. Well, I downloaded FF-5 last night. It seems to be working much better. No crashing, and I noticed a few items have been streamlined for easier use. After extensive research on the matter, FF-5 was at the top of the list in preferred browsers. I also noticed reading where people had dumped the 4 in rolled back to the earlier version until 5 came out.
  10. I tried that a couple of times, but not enough to really get into it. Perhaps I need to, because I'm googling the firefox problem, and there's a lot of people complaining about the crashing. I thought I found a fix, but as usual, after downloading it, here comes the credit card or pay-pal CRAP. Screw that...Mozilla should provide a patch fix for FREE, unless they want to go out of business.
  11. Ah-HAH!!! It wasn't just me....there is a registry problem with the latest version of Firefox. Fortunately, there is also a FIX for the problem. If you are having the same trouble as me, then here is the link: Firefox Fix Go down to the 4th or 5th item that downloads the repair. Nevermind.....it costs you money, so it's not a free fix. I'll keep looking. CNET probably has one for FREE.
  12. I even uninstalled it, and reinstalled the latest version, but it keeps crashing a lot. My other browsers are fine, so it seems to be confined to Firefox. Anyone else having to deal with this?
  13. I think I'd find another repairman....that doesn't sound right at all to me. Unless your whole system is old, and it falling apart.....but a GOOD repairman would have let you know that on the FIRST repair.
  14. Bingo!!!! And with EFI, you can lose a LOT of gas!!! You need to have someone trace the line from the tank all the way to the intake manifold. You said "new fuel pump"...this raises a flag. Pumps can be at the tank, or under the hood in many Japanese models. Either way, someone screwed up a fitting.
  15. Already ahead of ya! Have both garage doors open, listening to my tunes and the booms of fireworks that so pervade my neighborhood. I love these folks!~!! In fact, I think I'm gonna head up there, and get a better view!
  16. You said it all......ALWAYS BE HONEST!!! Be NICE about it, but always be straight up. Swerving your opinions, or attempting to tolerate something that sticks in your craw will only fester into something really ugly. Sometimes the truth hurts...but, it's still every adults' responsibility to reveal (or voice) their true feelings about any potential significant other. To do otherwise only hurts both people involved. Honesty will always be the best policy.
  17. Well, I did have a couple of cold ones with my neighbors...then the bottom fell out, and the rain started pouring. When it stops, we're going back at it!!!
  18. Honey, I could have told you that!!! Hey...at least you tried. Bless yo heart! I guess some guys just don't see a good woman when she's sitting right in front of his face. Go figure, huh?
  19. Funny how we posted similar threads at the same time!
  20. I went to mom and dad's down in Carrollton and ate smoked chicken today....but all that did was give me energy (once the first hour after eating wore off).
  21. I can think of a few things, but not sure if they're legal or not! J/K...my neighbors usually have a GREAT fireworks party, but everyone's so broke with the economy downturn, that no one could afford the good stuff this year. Heck, I'd be happy just going to Hiram Station and dancing and hanging out with someone~~. Just whatever, ya know.
  22. I gotta get outa this house, if it's the last thing I ever do...(sounds like a song, don't it? ) Just seeing what's up in Paulding for this evening.
  23. Ridge Road is many miles long....where is this? Me and Buddy (my dog) are oblivious in my man cave, so this would be great info on locale.... (walking outside to look)
