I have always gotten my books after class has started to make sure I get the correct ones. Sorry I can't be of more help. Edited to add: You will want to purchase used books when possible and not from the bookstore on campus. Try Amazon, they have usally been the cheapest that I have found.

Thanks! I am sorry about your Mother. It is hard to lose a parent, especially when you are young. (I was young when I lost my mom.) It was January 2004, right after the holidays. Maybe someday, I will want to celebrate the holidays again. My husky is the best!!

I am sure she would want me to do whatever makes me happy. This was her favorite time of the year and it is just too hard for me to get into the holiday spirit. I would much rather keep to my normal, busy schedule and work so that someone who has a family and wants to be off, can to be with their family. It is just myself and my dog-she will get an extra treat when I get home from work tomorrow.

I hate this time of the year. I do not celebrate holidays anymore. This will be my 6th holiday without my mom. Since she died, our small family fell apart. My father and brother carry too much drama and BS to be around. I can't wait for the holiday season to be over!!

GREAT info Pubby! Thanks! I agree with you 100%!! Inmates get 3 meals a day, medical care, dental care, free lawyers, commissary, shelter that is heated and cooled! They get cable TV! I know in some cases, criminals will commit a crime just to go back to jail or prison! I totally agree! I do not think we should pay for criminals to rot away in prison!

What I can't stand is people who drive with their emergency flashers on when it is raining. That just makes it harder for people to see to drive and it is also a distraction.

I get tired of all the appeals and such BS. Guilty is guilty. Hand down the sentence and be done with it--the sooner the better!

I believe in it and wish inmates wouldn't sit on death row for 20 years! Once they were sentenced, it needs to be carried out!

I strongly dislike Christmas and Thanksgiving. Too many memories that make me sad and depressed. If I do not work on those holidays, I will swap shifts so that someone who wants to be off to be with their family can.
