  1. The doors could open automatically as ours do at work if the alarm is pulled for a fire. So your idea would work if all would obey the rules. Only problem would come when the shooter is a student or the shooter grabbed a student as he entered the building and went through with him. When a gun is on you, you tend to do whatever is required to get away safely. I think the best idea is to put God back in schools and in the family where he should be and stop being softies for fear of hurting someones feelings. Teach children about God and our country and yes the pledge of alligance should be put b
  2. I think what everyone is saying is a little different but i also have two. One in the house incase my alarm goes off and i for carring in the console. I am not expecting to have to use either but if the need arises then there you go. It would have been great if one person would have had a gun besides the killer in the movie theater. Another interesting point: I was married to an exteremly mean man at one time. I was married for 16 years but he became worse after entering the Navy..long story short..I wanted to ask for a divorce and removed everything from sight..knives, guns, and the sort to
  3. Seriously, I personally feel that this is the most stupidist thing they have brought up yet. Now, I don't know Larry Ragsdale and with all respect to him but to name another thing Ragsdale is over the top. We already have Ragsdale Elementary and thats enough, not to mention Maude Ragsdale Library Jeeze...
  4. I am a nurse and work for Wellstar Health System. Paulding County has a nursing home that is the grandest. I say this because I work here and have for 20 Years. I love this place and am sure that lots of good things said will follow. As with anyone you love you want the best for them. This place is not beautiful. But this place is the greatest and you can tell by the administration here. You can google nursing homes in your area and the information will tell you the facts on all nursing homes. Also google reviews on them. In this area there are only few but there is more in douglasville and sm
  5. A house in the Oliver Chase subdivision has some cool lights that beat to the music that you tune in on the radio and santa's in the window. I didn't visit last year but thats always one of the grandkids favorites. It's def worth the ride down 381 to see them. You go straight into the sub division to the cul de sac. Most people park for a few minutes and watch as Santa waves out the window.
  6. I'd really like to hear a human voice on the phone when I call a business... ( how about: it's eleven o'clock do you know where your children are? " And in class when we saw Walter Cronchite(wrong spelling) say "And you were there" or how about "I can't beleive I ate the whole thing or What's for dinner? Beans Joe Beans.. and what i totally wish would come back is the drive in movie..thats what I really miss.
  7. Seems funny to hear about the tunnels. I had a patient here at the hospital years ago that was crazy into civil war activity in Paulding. Before he passed away he began speaking of the tunnels in Dallas that no one knew about. So now we know about the tunnels.
  8. Welcome Emily, you will love it here in Paulding for the small town atmosphere all over the county. I've live here for 33 years and this is a great place to call home. We do things sorta small here, except when we dont(lol). We have plenty of shopping stores and eating facilties. Stay on this board daily and you will know all the happenings of this county. Also where in the county serves good food and where is lousy.
  9. Lead, fake, size omg so size does matter. I guess the smaller the tree the larger the house looks. Wait so if i have a medium size house, do i need a medium size tree or how does that work..
  10. Thanks for the pic of the GTX, Is a beautiful car. My dad gave me mine as my mom didn't like driving it. Sad part is I married a guy who talked me into trading it for a Vega. Yea, I know right. I should have traded him in and kept the car.
  11. I wish I had a pic to show. My first car was a 1969 GTX. 440 engine. It would fly. Gold with a black hard top. Man I loved that car..

    PC hospital

I have worked here over 20 years and been to thousands of town hall meetings. I can tell you now they never planned for Labor and Delivery. But I can tell you this, The new hospital is going to be so awesome. Paulding County will be very proud of the new one..It really is gonna be state of the art..
  13. Left work early at 2:30 today and the line took an hour or so to get through.I also thought they were very organized. one of the ladites there said they stop every two hours and count the name sheets and the votes to make sure they match. Our county is getting larger and the quick lines are disappearing.
  14. Love this music and how the crowd was happy. I dont even like star wars (to moncho for me) but this video was a nice touch to my day. Thanks:)
  15. Sorry you have already aired this out. The deal is that the article that was posted stated he was locked up for this and charged with molestation/sodomy. We are responding to what the article states. Whether he's innocent or guilty the truth is not one of us know unless we were there. You were not present and can't state for sure either way because our sexual preferences are usually not known when you are a child molester until someone tells on you or you are found gulity in a court of law. I am sure this will be cleared up down the road however, I still stand by saying that child molesters ar
  16. Okay so you would think that before the news would release an article and before the police would make an arrest that facts would be checked out better that what is now being said. Somethings not right...somebodies facts are distorted and I hope not on the alledged perpurtrator since this could ruin his name even if found innocent...hmmm
  17. I really have no tolerence with this sort of thing. I feel like they should nail their genitals to a cement wall and leave them there. I hate this sort of thing messes up some people their entire life for a joker that deserves nothing less than castration. My prayers are with the children.
  18. I will keep you and your girlfriend in my prayers as she continues to recoop. May God Bless you both.
  19. I'm just looking from my point of view and I know for someone to hold manager position they cant be too ignorant. Something has to be said to cause another person to flare up like that. I give no excuses on the fact the manager probaly did say that to the women and I know what it feels like to be on food stamps however, I have worked since before my divorce and raised two children with no child support. I'm not looking for sympathy just to say been there done that. I am a nurse and know that dialysis can make you weak and tired. Just saying at least she has a husband who should be helping with
  20. I think what she really wants is some money and saw an opportunity to cry so that others could be her witness on how hurt she was. She should have held the line up telling her whole story to the manager after he made that statement if she really wanted to have her say. So now she's hurt and wants the public to be on her side with the sympathy story or else she wouldn't have went the passive aggressive route. I think she does want the manager to lose his job but that is the ugly route the easy way out. She should have accepted the store credit and repied back thank you for the apology. That is
  21. I think what your asking is if the ticket you purchased earlier this week will still be covered on Friday to continue to ride rides on the ticket you previously purchased. Is that right or am I coo coo this am.
  22. I'm not sure what causes that but i hated bananas and spaghetti when i was younger. You wouldn't catch me eating two hotdogs at any meal, although I love hotdogs I was a one hotdog eater and never went for seconds. I loved to cook. Now I eat banana sandwiches on a regular basis and love salt and pepper on it. I have spaghetti at least once a week and can down two hotdogs easily. I dont know what happens when you get older but one things for sure. I just about hate to cook. Maybe once or twice a week but only if i'm craving something.
  23. The classes are offered at Paulding Hospital. Just call or go to Human Resources and they should give you the information. I dont want to put all the information on site but you can ask HR and they will give you the name to contact. I work there and hope this will help you. The one you need to speak with is Vicki. she's there most all days. Wellstar has an excellent program to assist with continueing education and that would really benefit you.
  24. I can tell you when I was younger I could catch a mouse quicker than a cat. However i know rats and mice are different but same premise..To plug any holes you can bust up a glass bottle and take plaster of paris and mix together and plug the hole and the mice or rat will not be able to eat through it. I use to live in a mobile home and had plenty of experience plugging all those holes. Good luck....I have a friend Russell Bennett from Bennetts pest control that is very nice informal guy who could help you with that..let me know if you need someone and I will get his number for you. goood luck
