There is supposed to be a crowd of people around the injured girl.

It did sound like he lost a lot of blood, but they did say he was alert and oriented, which is a good thing.
I pray for his recovery.
If anyone has any news, please update.

NHG:
I don't have a clue about what's going on, but I have some suspicions just from the tone of your posts. I hope and pray that these children get the help they need. At one time, there was some stuff going on in my home that I was unaware of. My daughter will be forever scarred. I wish that someone had known and could have helped back then.
My heart breaks for these children, even though I don't know them. All children are very precious and not a one deserves anything but love and kindness.
I will keep them in my prayers. And you also, because I know how troubling these kinds of things can be.

November Rain:
Which post office do you work for?
We live in Hiram, and the carrier always leaves the smaller packages on the mailbox with a rubber band. I had wondered about that because, to me, it's out there for anyone to walk/drive by and snatch off.

I can never get my pictures to post. I've tried many times.

My favorite gift was seeing my daughter come through the door holding my grandson all dressed up in a Santa Suit!!! It was his first Christmas and it was great. We found out he has quite a temper!! He didn't like it one bit when his mommy took the wrapping paper away from him. He wanted to eat it!!
We had so much fun wih him!!!

I loved everything I got this year.
My kids always give me a "Wish List" so that I know what they want or need. We all hate having to exchange stuff, so it's so much better to give exactly what the others want or need. And there is always a small surprise or two thrown in so no one misses out on being surprised.

I just went and looked. I does say 12/13/05.Does the postage meter or postmark on the package say December 13th? Where was it mailed from? It seems that Priority Mail has been taking about 4-5 days to be delivered this month instead of the usual 2-3 days. Was this the first or second/last notice? This was the first notice.
And just because you think delivery was not attempted on Saturday does not mean that is true. That is a common accusation when in fact the resident simply didn't hear the knock on their door.No attempt was made. My husband was in the bedroom and heard the mail truck. He watched from the window as the truck pulled up and the mail was put in the box. The carrier never got out of the truck.
Did this particular package you are talking about not require a signature? No signature was required.
It was not raining. Was it raining on Saturday, but not on Monday?I will leave notices for large packages that I can't leave sitting out in the rain, or sometimes I will just reattempt delivery the next day instead of leaving a notice. The carrier usually just leaves the package attached to the mail box with a rubber band. That's what happened on Monday.

I have a home office so, that's where mine is.

I think it's a good idea. My youngest wanted to work at 14 but couldn't find anyone who would hire her. She finally got hired at Ingle's when she was 15, but they didn't ask how old she was. When they found out she was 15, they took her off the payroll until she turned 16. She went to work for Subway for a couple of months, then went back to Ingle's.
I think it teaches them responsibility, and it also allows them a peek at the real world. . .working for their money.

I've had problems with our mail delivery. We live off Ridge Road. I ordered some scrapbooking supplies on the 12th and they were shipped on the 13th. I didn't get them until the 22nd, and they were shipped priority mail.
Last Saturday, the delivery person left a notice that I had a package to be picked up at the post office. My husband and I were both home, but no attempt was made to deliver the package. I went to the post office after noon on Monday, like the receipt said, and they couldn't find the package. And to top it off, they could have cared less!!! Very bad attitude!! Finally, they took my number and called about an hour later to tell me the mail carrier had it. It was left on the mailbox later that afternoon. They could have left it on Saturday!!! I had to go through about an hour of waiting in line and waiting on them to tell me they couldn't find the package on Monday. Made no sense to me!! Only to have the same package delivered on Monday. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!
Also, I have my flex account checks mailed to me, but some of them never arrived. I had to have them resent to my work address. That makes me wonder how many other pieces of mail I might not have received. I know they are busy, but it seems like some of them are just careless or lazy!!!

We went to my husband's parents house yesterday and celebrated with his family. My family is coming over today at 2.
On New Year's eve, we usually go out to an early dinner and then celebrate at home. We don't do the party thing anymore. Too many drunks on the road.

My kids are grown. They'll be here around 2 pm so we slept until 10!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
