Dang!! I watched until 10:10 and them got back on the computer. By the time I made it to the end, I missed the story!
I still find it strange that they have helicopters for a DUI check. Also, I think there was a post at the very beginning that said something about a canine unit.
Are that that many drunk drivers on that particular road on Friday night to warrant all that activity? Still seems strange!

I just do not believe all that activity is for a DUI check point. The news stations ARE NOT coming to Paulding County to file the cops looking for drunk drivers!!! It has to be something big for us to make the news!!
I'm going to turn on the TV right now so that I'll get off the computer and remember to watch the news!!

I don't agree that the officer should have waited though. I mean, she happened to get the ticket in the drop off line while her child was there, but it could have happened at any time and her child still been in the car to witness it. She did something wrong, she gets a ticket. Could be considered a learning experience for her kid - mom did something wrong and there were consequences.

I've had my scanner on for about 15 minutes and haven't heard anything. Sometimes I can't pick up Paulding County. I'll keep listening, and does anyone know what time 46 news is on? Maybe we'll find out something then.

I do not agree that everyone deserves a second chance, when someone has abused or violated a child or a woman they deserve no more chances, they lost that right when they committed the crime. Do you think Michael Ledford deserved a second chance? I think there should be "degrees" of sex offenders, same with meth . The degree would depend on the nature and details of the crime.
AMEN!!! Until you or a family member has been victimized by a sex offender, you have no idea what the victim goes through. Such an attack can destroy a child. It is not something they will ever truly get over. I'm not talking about sex between teenagers. I'm taking about a person who sexually abuses a child. Or, for that matter, a man who rapes a woman. These people cannot be rehabilitated. They suffer from a sickness, just like alcoholism but far worse.
As far as meth manufacturers, I would like to know if any one who had been convicted of it was living near me just so I could be aware in case they started up again. However, there is no comparison between sex offenders and meth manufacturers/users. I believe that a drug offender CAN be rehabilitated. A sex offender cannot.

What about St. Jude's Children's Hospital? I think it's in Nashville. The radio station always does a big fundraiser every year at Arbor Place Mall. I think they raised over a million dollars this year. I do know that there is no cost to the families of the sick children. From what I've heard, the place is absolutely wonderful and has helped a lot of kids.

I travel that way several times a week but never noticed the cans!! My husband tells me I'm in la-la-land when I drive. I only pay attention to the cars around me. I hardly ever notice the scenery.

Sorry! I've got my scanner on but, for some reason, it's only picking up Douglas County. I heard sirens earlier, right after my husband left on what soon may be our new motorcycle. Kind of made me nervous! I didn't hear anything on the scanner. It's just not picking up Paulding.

This happened me to and my sister-in-law a couple of years ago. We worked together and always used our debit cards at one particular restaurant when we went there. She got hit first. They cleaned her account out in 2 days right after our checks were direct deposited into our accounts. Her back was ridiculous about this. It took her well over a month to get her money back.
It happened to me at the next pay period. They used my card number all the way from North Carolina to Florida. They bought a lot of gas, stuff at Home Depot, and Babies R Us. My bank was wonderful! I had my money back almost immediately.
Since we only used our cards together at one particular restaurant, we knew where the numbers were stolen. We both tried to report it, and had real problems about "jurisdiction". They said we couldn't prove it happened at that particular restaurant. It had to have happened there because it was the only place where we used our cards at the same time. Another co-worker who always ate lunch with us, cancelled her card immediately, and nothing happened with her account. We suspect that she would have been next on their list!!
The bank said they wouldn't even look into it because it happened all the time, and it was too much trouble. That was 2 years ago, so maybe they are more willing now to investigate.
Another co-worker had someone use her number on line. Paulding County took an accident report. The bank investigated and found out that several purchases were made at Victoria's Secret. It seemed to us that they could track where the packages were sent and find out who had used the card. Wrong again!! Nothing was ever done. The back just put the money back in her account.
I still use my card because I tend to spend cash more quickly. I check my account daily to make sure there are no transactions that I didn't make. You can't be too careful these days.

There was a rear-end collision on Highway 92 just a little past the old liquor store going towards Hiram. It didn't appear to be serious. It looked like everyone was standing and talking to the police. It sure had traffic backed up!!

One of these men worked for my best friend's husband, and another of them used to work for him. In fact, her husband was one of the two men who actually found the bodies. When one of them didn't show up for work and could not be contacted all day, my friend's husband and another man went to check it out.
It is a sad situation. One of them had two teenage daughters who were supposed to visit him last evening. Luckily this tragedy was discovered before the girls got there.
The news said that there was evidence of drinking and drugs. I don't know anything about this man's activities. I do know that he was a good, hard-working man with two daughters, other family, and a lot of friends who will miss him.
Please keep all of these men's families in your prayers.

Prayers said for those involved. There was a bad accident at 61 and Stockmar Road last night, but it was in Carroll County. Seems like a lot of bad accidents on 61 lately.

No. He is a psycho and DNA will prove he was not involved. I will always believe the killer is known or even being protected by the family.
He is a very sick man, but he didn't kill her. Personally, I think Patsy Ramsey is burning in hell, right where she belongs!!!

I drive from Hiram to the Marietta Square. That is enough for me!!!! I could make 10 to 15K more driving to Atlanta, but its not worth the extra time and aggravation. You would be seeing me on the news. I just don't have the patience for Atl traffic every day.
My feelings exactly!!! I drive from Hiram to the Cobb Parkway/Windy Hill Road area. It takes at least an hour, and it's getting worse every day!! I like my job but hate the drive!!!

What wonderful news that Ryan is out of the hospital!! All involved in this horrible tragedy will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

I passed by this on my way home. It really looked bad. They were loading someone into the ambulance and routing cars through the parking lot at the Grands.
I'm glad to know that everyone is going to be ok.

I doesn't matter how it happened or what played a factor. Two teenagers lost their lives last night. Two others are injured and will be emotionally scarred forever. These families need our prayers and whatever comfort can be provided. We do not need to judge. Everyone makes mistakes. It could easily have been anyone's child that this happened to.
My prayers are with all the families.

What wonderful news!! So glad to hear that he's going to be alright. Please keep us posted on how he's doing. Has anyone heard any new regarding the other boy's condition?
